Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only issue we had was it was difficult to find parking (we did come during the "Rose of Tralee" festival weekend inadvertently though!) and in the evening the music and noise from nearby pubs was quite loud- so be sure to bring ear plugs!
Amazing location right in city center, On-site restaurant was fun and lively, Staff was SO helpful and kind (the best staff we encountered during our 10 day trip), the building is lovely and the decor is great. Our room was small but comfortable, and the breakfast here was also our favorite of the trip!

United KingdomI would prefer the shower head to be flexible rather than just stationary above your head, but at least shower cap was provided
Right in the centre. The rooms are spacious enough, with tea and coffee facilities. The staff were very nice.

United KingdomHad to have the window closed due to the 'Rose of Tralee' partying going on outside until the small hours. Without the window open, the room was very (too) warm.
Room was comfortable; shower warm and powerful. Eleanor on reception was truly wonderful. A great source of information, she also gave us an extended check-out time as we were off doing Inch Beach parkrun at 09:30 on Saturday morning.

ItalyCompared to similar solutions around Ireland the quality/price ratio is in my opinion unbalanced.
The room was in an attic, quiet from 6 pm to 8 am (so great for sleeping) because is adjacent to a church bell tower silent in the night. Parking, though not on the property, is at the church and is free at night. The property has a good restaurant and is located in the heart of town. Breakfast is good and the staff very friendly.

MaltaThe rooms need to be refurbished or modernised. Our room was opposite a pub and there was constant noise until 3am. We could barely get any sleep. The beds are not very comfortable.

United KingdomThe breakfast on the first day was awful. I was ill for the day after it. I tried the restaurant food in the evening, it was good but I was too unwell to enjoy it. I had to pay for parking also throughout the stay
The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was most comfortable and spotless.

SpainThe room itself, compared to the charm of the hotel's common areas, was a bit of a let-down. The room photos were fairly accurate, but were of a room in somewhat better nick than the one we had. Compared to the other accommodations we stayed in during our trip along the west coast, it felt somewhat overpriced for what it was. The bathroom was properly clean and nice, better than the rest of the room, which needed a bit of repair and renovation.
The hotel is a historic property in central Tralee, and its common areas on the ground floor are very nice, pleasant to see and be in, as can be seen in the property's photos. The location is close to a pedestrian zone with all sort of services and places to eat. The breakfast was also very good, and there was street parking available within a short distance. We had wanted to stay within a close distance of the Dingle peninsula, but Storm Floris changed our plans to spend more time inland instead, so it remained unclear how good of a base for the Dingle it would have made.

NetherlandsRoom and facilities were a bit tired. The window in the bedroom was blinded so not possible to look outside. The Christmas decorations in the pub and at the reception were a bit odd (it’s mid summer).
Good location, just a short walk to the train station and town centre. Very friendly staff, in particular the room maid was very lovely.

IrelandThe bathrooms in the lobby were quite a letdown. The women's had issues including missing locks on doors, broken soap dispensers, broken toilet roll holder, and empty toilet roll holder, meaning only 2 of the 5 toilets were even usable. 3 of the men's toilets had not been flushed, let alone cleaned. A poor reflection of the hygiene standards of the rest of the hotel, which were spotless. Rooms were simple and clean, but expect wear and tear.
Lovely staff throughout the hotel. Great selection on the menu and high-quality food in the restaurant. The bar area outside is expansive and whimsical, a lovely place to have a few drinks while the bar inside feels more mature, very cosy. Great location in the heart of Tralee.

IrelandThe excellent location in the centre of Tralee does come with the downside of inescapable noise until after the pubs close (just come prepared with ear plugs).
