Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLovely rooms but perhaps time to modernise the bathrooms?
We had a lovely welcome having driven from Dublin and going into Cobh and Cork before checking in. Our room was lovely with 2 king sized beds which were very comfortable. We were please we had booked here, rather than staying in central Cork as the building and location were charming. The breakfast was delicious and loads of buffet choices. We had a veggie cooked breakfast and they amended for my vegan husband. We could leave our car there while we had the short stroll to Blarney Castle. We loved our time there exploring the gardens extra and the kiss of course! Also enjoyed there fresh water at Reception with cucumber, oranges and mint before leaving. Thank you to all the staff and definitely recommend.

United StatesNo air conditioning was painful. There was a small fan but we were pretty hot all night. It was a historic mill though.
Close to the Blarney gardens. You truly cannot beat the proximity!

From the moment we entered the lobby we were impressed - the decor was stunning and the building had been preserved with such thought and care. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful with modern furniture. Because it is an old mill the windows are huge and let in lots of natural light. There was a fan supplied, which we were glad of as it was a very warm night. We ate our evening meal in Christy's (the hotel receptionist booked our table for us) and the food was delicious - bruschetta and Caesar salad for starters, curry and chicken for mains and rhubarb tart to finish. The breakfast in The Loom area of the cafe was great, with buffet style cereal, fruit and pastries and a full menu of hot choices. I had the bacon omelette, which was the best I have ever tasted. My husband had the full Irish and couldn't finish it, because there was so much on the plate. And to have the Woolen Mill shop right on your doorstep was just perfect bonus, for a bit of browsing and retail therapy. Blarney is beautiful and this hotel is just the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the castle.

PolandNo parking spots dedicated to hotel guests - during the day hard to find a spot as a lot of people come to the store (I think some of them also visit castle). No AC.
Clean, comfortable room and bathroom in a Woollen Mills complex (hotel, 2 restaurants, shop with knitting exhibition) near Blarney castle and gardens and Blarney centre (walking distance). Good location to visit Cork, Cobh etc. Nice staff. Good breakfast selection (not only Irish breakfast and cereal).

United StatesThe property offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. The room was great, the breakfast was excellent, and the number of shops and dining opportunities was outstanding. It's only a 5-minute walk to Blarney Castle, so staying at the Blarney Woolen Mills lets you get to the castle before the crowds.

CanadaThis was no big deal for me, but a mini fridge in the room would have been great. The shops there closed earlier than I expected also.
Such a welcoming atmosphere and the staff were amazing! The hotel itself is gorgeous and the the room I had was incredible. With a pub right beside the hotel and a restaurant as well, it made everything so convenient. Blarney castle was a 2 minute walk and to strole around town afterwards was perfect with other local pubs and restaurants. Well worth every penny.
