Great location. Lovely family room with excellent bathroom. Nice common room.

The kitchen wasn't easy to cook with others - the hob can only be accessed by one person at a time and the worktop space is very limited.

We loved the peace of Brú na Dromoda. It is very welcoming, tranquil and homey. The kitchen is well equipped and it was fun to play a board game or two in the living room. The views around the hostel are beautiful and the staff were lovely and communicated well throughout. There is a little community-ran shop and pub next door for any essentials. If you're by car, it's an excellent pit stop off the Ring of Kerry for the night!

The bathroom in the private bedroom was a little rustic, but all clean and functional!

Clean, good kitchen and living room. Good parking and location when on the move.

Noisy and hard to sleep, also the bedding was extremely heavy and warm for summer weather.

Its super clean and very homy. We love the living room area. The view from there is amazing, the scenic mountain and a feeling of tranquil. The location is remote but this is what we like and we wanted to feel the warmth and hospitality of Rural Ireland and we absolutely experienced it.

The bedroom was big and cozy. We enjoyed spending time with other people in the kitchen and in the living room! Nice chat. Our son enjoyed Netflix a lot 😉

The shop and pub close by are a welcome additional facility in such a remote location. Especially for people arriving without a motorised vehicle. Also the heating came on in August on a particularly chilly day. Much appreciated, especially in the bathroom!

The room was clean.

We were emailed a day before to be told that a football team would be on the property and that it would be busy. The host promised us that there would be parking spots reserved for guests. When we arrived, the staff was quiet rude to us when we were trying to park and kept telling us to go down one car park, at every single car park. We had driven past all of the carparks within a mile radius before reaching out to the host. The host said they would arrange the parking, then never got back to us again. We had to drive into the city and wait it out until the team left, which was so frustrating after a long day in the car. The host also told us that they would be leaving before we were checking in and to just head up to the room. They gave us directions to the wrong room, and we had ask around before someone eventually showed us where the check in information and keys were, which was for some reason not included in the host's message. Additionally, someone kept trying to enter our private room at night. On three separate occasions in the middle of the night, someone banged on our door and tried to open the locked door, without responding to any of our questions, which made the room feel quite unsafe.
