Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Enjoyed the breakfast, though it should be made clear that it's continental style self-serve buffet, no hot food. OK if known in advance; this owner is lovely, and was formerly well known for her gourmet breakfasts at a communal table. Since Covid all has changed. Still a great place; car advisable.

I loved staying in Bru Na Pairc. Peggy is one of those sweet hosts that is always there for you. My daughter loved playing with Twinkle (best dog ever). The room was big, extremely clean and the bathroom smelt amazing. Breakfast was sooo good, with fruits, teas, coffees, cereal, yogurt. Peggy even made a hot chocolate for my daughter and it was delicious (I know because I ended up drinking it) Peggy and Twinkle, thank you so much for having us and being so good.

Nothing, it was brilliant.
I had a friend's wedding in Bantry and stayed here for 2 nights. It was a lovely B&B. Peggie was an excellent host and made our stay very enjoyable. Bantry is walking distance away, so it was ideal for us.

Nothing, everything was perfect
It was my second time at the Bru na Pairc for the Bantry Literary Festival and everything was perfect. I will definitely come back again. The place is spotless clean and the breakfast is excellent (buffet with many options, super coffee and home baked bread!) Everything is at walking distance: shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Bantry is also ideal location as a base to explore west Cork area Peggy is the perfect host, the place is a home from home!

Location isn’t amazing but only about a 20 minute walk from the town square so very manageable
Amazing buffet breakfast spread. Worth staying to start the day with that breakfast alone… Loved that my single room had a spa bath. A luxury we singles rarely get given. Spotlessly clean with nice touches in the room like good array of tea and a plush dressing gown. Very comfy stay with lovely host and cute dog.

Our only comment is that the room was quite small. We were there for 2 nights.
The attention to detail. There was everything we needed in the room. The owner was great, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfasts: fresh fruits, yoghurt, cheeses, home cooked ham, blueberry muffins, freshly made coffee.

What a great host, kind and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The host was welcoming and was very helpful with tips about the area and recommendations for eating places. The room was pleasant and clean. An added bonus compared to others, it had some tea and coffee making facilities! Crucial for someone who likes his coffee first thing in the morning. Provided good quality robes, towels, toiletries. I noted not all provided shampoo and gel. So kind she was, she made sure we took some cakes for the road. Thank you!

It’s a bit too far to walk into town to get dinner so be prepared to drive- otherwise an excellent accommodation.
