Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No garden furniture, issues with the showers all not temperature controlled and running far too hot. Not enough seating and cutlery for the whole group.

The house was great, there was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. If I was in the area again I would definitely stay here again.

It needs some work, especially in the bathrooms. The main bathroom shower doesn’t work, and the other two en-suite showers have very weak pressure and the bathrooms generally need a makeover as there’s a lot of rust and broken fittings. There should also be some explanation of how to work the hot water in the welcome pack because it took us a while to find this and get the hot water going. It’s very basic in terms of amenities- doesn’t have a lot of the basic stuff you’d except in accommodation. It’s also not that well equipped for the number of people who could stay there (given it has 5 double beds) - e.g. there were not enough seats for us to sit on, and not many glasses. 3/5 of the beds were not very comfortable- most of our group had quite a bad nights sleep.
Plenty of space for everyone, the rooms were spacious. Lovely views out of the windows, and convenient location for Buncrana (as long as you don’t mind a very steep walk up the hill)

No curtains in bedrooms meant daylight woke everyone up at 6am, broken spout on kettle, door into dining room didn't close, uncomfortable beds, bath taps didn't work, only one blunt knife for cutting with, and dishwasher didn't work. Host didn't reply to my request for compensation. £175 a night is a lot for this place with all that is wrong with it.

I didn’t like that it was a little far from any convenience shop but a €5 taxi wasent a problem

Unfortunately there is a lot that we didn't like. The house could be amazing with a a few finishing touches such as curtains, garden furniture and more seating in the living room. WiFi would be great too. The host was very difficult to get hold of. I emailed and text to get info on how to get into the house as we were going to arrive later than we expected however I never received a reply. Only managed to get into the property because of a chance encounter with a lady (who I assumed was the cleaner) who ran over to us as she was leaving a house across the street and gave us the key code. The water situation was ridiculous. Sometimes the water temperature would be fine, other times scolding hot, even from the cold tap! The main bathroom shower is VERY loud. There is mould on the walls in the downstairs en-suite. The toaster was broken One of the wooden chairs in the kitchen was broken so when I sat on it, the base flipped off the frame. There was a random car parked on the drive. To be honest, the list goes on and on.... I would stay again if needed because of the location to nearby family however I would come prepared next time!
House was big, plenty of room for the 9 of us. Great views at the back of the property and the location was fab. Tea/Coffee were provided and there was a good selection of cup, plates etc... Bedding and towels were provided Cleaners do a great job. Washing machine and dryer work.

property was very clean with great facilities. It was in a great location only a 15 minute walk away from the town. The host was very accommodating and made the process as smooth as possible

1)No wifi available 2)No BBQ available 3)Common bathroom electric shower not properly working 4)While booking it was mentioned three double room with ensuite bathroom but this is misleading as house comes with only two bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
House was clean and there was no problem in collecting the keys, check in and check out time was flexible
