Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The accommodation had a sofa bed, it wasn't the most comfortable to relax on.

There was nothing that we wouldn't like. Perhaps hot water pressure could be higher.

The studio is very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The furnishings and appliances are first rate with everything needed for self catering. The location is peacefully rural but only 10 minutes from shopping. Doreen is an excellent host who did everything possibly to make our stay perfect.

If you're using Sat Nav, go via Milford to minimise travel on narrow country lanes. Even then, you need to be a confident driver and definitely make your first approach in daylight. That said, it's just a 2.5km drive to the coast road, along a quiet road with very little traffic, and another 2.5km into Milford.
Very comfortable double bed, and plenty of room for clothes storage. Nice spacious en-suite shower room with all necessities supplied. Well equipped kitchen with very nice dining area. Large cosy corner sofa (converts to a bed) and large flat screen tv with freeview and netflix (other streaming apps available to sign in). Nice private patio with seating for fine days; and a lovely view across the hills. Host very pleasant.

Everything was great, no complaints
Very comfortable, spacious and clean. The Hosts were very friendly and responsive and gave helpful suggestions re local sights and places to visit. The garden and privacy was great. Felt very much at home. Would highly recommend.

The property very rural and access roads in the area caused a degree of alarm. High viz vest required should you wish to walk out but I would never recommend it.
Weather was exceptional coupled with the tranquility it made for a relaxing stay. The garden aspect pleasant.

It was missing several kitchen utensils for cooking a meal, etc. which would make the whole apartment top-notch. e.g. sieve/colander, mixing bowls, oven-proof dishes, baking tray, cheese grater, cook's knife, bread knife, chopping board, cafetiere, teapot, measuring jug. It's probably fine if just heating up ready meals or takeaway. Luckily I'd brought a few things with me, just in case :-)
Top notch appliances. Stylish decor. Comfortable huge bed. Great bathroom. (Huge TV which we didn't touch). Lovely quiet location, great for exploring that area of the Wild Atlantic Way as well as the national park.

Lovely peaceful location. Listening to the cuckoo in the early evening from the patio was a joy. The studio was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed.

We arrived at 5.00pm and were unable to gain access to the property. Unbeknown to us, due to problems with our mobile signal and telecom provider, we were unable to pick up a text providing entry details from the hosts. We attempted to contact the hosts by telephone to no avail. It would be beneficial for the hosts to provide a contactable phone number.

Only thing I would advise is to get there is daylight as it’s a dark very narrow road to the property ( & I’m used to roads)
