The swimming pool is open to the public and therefore at times can be a squeeze to get changed as it is a small area. The changing rooms are a little worn and we’re not overly clean. The restaurant has a 2 course minimum which we only realised when we were handed the menu but it was fine for us.

The setting is beautiful, room was very comfortable and clean. The food and breakfast also excellent. Staff are helpful and pleasant. We had a lovely card and chocolates wishing us happy anniversary which was a lovely touch.

Noisy corridors up until 1am particularly children running around til very late. Also feel it could do with a general face lift - coat of paint - better lighting in bedrooms

Location but would like I think more could be made of location - more outdoor seating areas - access to sea view as in a terrace

When we arrived there were bugs in our room (a seal had broken on the window/door thingy) but this got us upgraded to a suite, which was much nicer. The stay was €300 for x1 night and honestly the suite was worth that but the standard room wouldn’t have been at all, similar standard to a premier inn. The bar staff of the hotel were dog rude (possibly coz there was at least massive wedding party on the go all day). The breakfast is nice and the room it’s served in is beautiful, so whichever manager is queuing ABBA songs over the speakers to pierce through everyone’s hangover on a Sunday morning in that room is ruining the “breakfast overlooking the bay” vibe entirely. Was served a cappuccino so I drinkable hot that it was still steaming 30 mins later.

Location is beautiful. The main hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is fab.

A bit rough around the edges, just needs a bit of TLC across all areas, dirty shower head, dusty lights around the hotel. No welcome folder in the room but referred to online (and present in other rooms). All in 1 body & hair wash in a 4* hotel seems wild, our 3* BnB offered shampoo, conditioner and body wash separately. Super cheap toilet roll. Wasn't wowed for the price of the room.

Staff were all excellent, beds incredible, decent breakfast offering, food from the captains bar decent. Rooms are a decent size.

Little runned down. The radiators in the room did not work, nor did the towel heater. Disabled lift to the swimming pool not working.

Location was great. Room was good. We did book a junior suite. Which I confirmed before booking the layout of the room was . It was stated as two separate rooms (adjoining) but when we checked in it was not that. Not what we expected but it was ok for our stay.

The complimentary toiletries are a combined shower and hair gel in a dispenser which is much better for the environment but we had expected shampoo and conditioner.

We had a lovely room with a sea view so even when the weather was not great , we could sit in comfortable chairs and look out across Lough Foyle. There was also a coffee machine in the room for a good cup of coffee. The food served in the bar and at breakfast was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We both had spa treatments which were also very relaxing. The hotel is right on the shore and accessed by a long drive from the road alongside the the golf course which set the tone for the holiday. There is also a lovely little bar-restaurant next door which can be reached via a footbridge.
