Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThe room is small but that is very common for a place like this - it fills its function perfectly.
This place is perfect for a stopover in Dublin. It is super clean and the hostess has thought of everything you might need in terms of toiletries in the bathroom and a kettle and tea/coffee in the room. The standard is basic but everything is made beautiful and carefully arranged. The place feels very safe. The check in/check out is very smooth. Near the center and airport buses etc.

AustriaPerfect for my short trip, super nice staff and host! Great location in the city center, everythings nearby, bus stops etc., still very quiet because the apartment is located in a small side street.

United KingdomMattress was uncomfortable. Would have like an earlier check in . 4pm is quite late considering the checkout was 10 am.
The location is excellent. Good communication from owner. Easy to check in . Shared bathroom was clean and had clear instructions on how to operate shower.

NorwayIt was pretty poor isolation but quiet times are from 23:00-08:00. Everyone followed this well so I was not disturbed. The door were a bit clunky to open to the bedroom and bathroom.
Exactly like the pictures. Really good location without having to deal with bar noises! Clean and comfortable bedroom and shower.

LithuaniaIf someone is staying in the room above you, you can hear all their steps. The shared bathroom is not very convenient, but the bathroom itself is good.
Clear and easy self check in. Amazing location - near city centre, but quiet at night. Price is much better than any place in a similar location. You can find a power adapter, towel and kettle in the room, which is very convenient. Very clean.

GermanyMy room was right next to the bathroom. As the house is poorly soundproofed, the noises from the bathroom were clearly audible.
Check in was very well explained and worked smoothly. Good location close to the city centre, just 10 minutes to walk to the Grafton Street. An adapter for EU plugs was offered. A curiosity on the side: I could see the sunrise from my bed. This only happens a few days a year and of course only when the weather is right, but I was still delighted to see the sun rise over the rooftops

United KingdomThe kettle in the room was appreciated but it had to be moved to the floor as the lead was incredibly short.
Excellent location. Good communication from the host. Clean room and facilities. I noticed as I was leaving that wifi was available (clearly indicated in the room but I missed it) - although the main description of the property states that it wasn't available. It was near the Airport Express bus stop too.

IrelandThe only minor issue was that the phone number listed on the booking (as of the end of December 2024) wasn't valid. I couldn't make a call, and one man was stuck outside because the phone number was incorrect, and he didn't have a smartphone to connect through the booking app. I helped him, but the overall situation was quite bad.
I was surprised by the high quality of everything for such a small price (I paid around 60 euros per night for a private room). I really, really appreciated the attention to detail and the little things. For example, there was a heater and some tea and water in my room, as well as pads and cotton pads in the bathroom. There were also some kitchen essentials provided. And lots of small details made the interior feel more atmospheric and stylish.

United StatesJust be aware it's a private room in a shared house. You might find other people talking and will hear others walking up and down the stairs. But you won't be bothered. I did look around and you may get a better value/more private room for the price, but not a bad experience at all.
Excellent location, kind host, comfortable and private room, no issues! Perfect for a short stay.

IrelandI think it may be better if its stated during booking that one should call the host to know how to get in, it said on my booking I would be sent a picture.
The quietest nights sleep I ever had while staying in Dublin. Price was great for a comfy bed near enough to everything I wanted to do. The art in the room was also very nice, and it was very quiet, no trams or anything noising outside!

United StatesThere was a block close to it that I wasn’t sure felt safe, but I didn’t know the area well enough.
Very small single bedroom. Easy access to everything needed in Dublin. I did not meet the host, but she was very communicative. She helped me get an early which I really appreciated. Was there only for a couple days, but it was a location with Tesco close to it, which was also helpful.

United KingdomNothing not to like, but be aware this a single room in a "standard house" so although the room is yours, other people are sharing the house. The room is not en-suite, there is a shared bathroom.
The venue is central in Dublin in a quiet street. The room was clean and functional. The room can be locked. The host has made an effort to ensure the room is functional and you can also use the kitchen.
