A True Home Away from Home Our stay at this beautifully refurbished farmhouse exceeded all expectations. The farmhouse was immaculate and incredibly well-equipped, every detail had been thoughtfully considered. From the luxurious beds, crisp linens, and fluffy towels to the cozy open fire, shelves of books, and a great selection of board games for the kids, it truly felt like a home away from home. The outdoor space is equally stunning, nestled right beside a peaceful forest, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Geraldine, who looks after the property, was the epitome of Irish hospitality, warm, welcoming, and even arrived with freshly baked cream buns! Please note, the house is in a remote location, so a car is essential—but that’s exactly what we were looking for: peace, quiet, and authenticity. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and are already looking forward to our return.

It is secluded which was a benefit for us but you will need a car to get around.

The house is large with 3 bedrooms and plenty of space to hang out. The kitchen is large and has everything you need. Everything you need while you are there is provided and the property was clean.

Lovely home, great location, and a great stay! Booking agency however, was very inconvenient.

While the house and host were great, the booking company (Sykes Holiday Cottages) was extremely difficult to do business with. I wanted to add a day to our stay, and was told that I had to call them - no email, nor would they answer messages on the Booking.com site. Living in the US, I could never get a hold of anyone, just got a machine, and had to pay overseas phone charges:-(. We ended up having to book another house for a one day stay.

It was a lovely house! Great location (although somewhat remote), beautiful scenery, comfortable in every way. We had a wonderful stay!

Nothing.....Host's sister made us very welcome and was living close by.

Self Catering..... House fresh and tastefully decorated with a mix of old house (200 years old) and modern comfort. New as a rental and excellent mattresses! Loved the isolation but had to adjust to the distance involved

The house was really lovely and very comfortable. The atmosphere in the house happy and friendly. Everything was spotless and all possible equipment was provided. The location in the Comeragh Mountains and Nire Valley and easy access to the sea was ideal for all outdoor activities. There are many historic and archaeological sites within very easy driving. We were a family of three generations ranging from 88 years to 6years and we all enjoyed our stay The family who own the house were so kind and friendly to us.
