there was no ensuite, you had to go out into the hall to go to the bathroom. Also no breakfast but that was fine as it was not advertised, but there could have been a bottle of water or coffee making facilities in the room. I have heard of B&B but this was literally just B - Bed and nothing else for more than you would pay for some hotel rooms! It was €115 which is steep for just a bed for the night. The bathroom had personal things in it too which surprised me for such a big house.

On our way to the place I received a call from the owner at 6pm, letting me know he was leaving for a few hours to attend a football game, and we would have to wait to check in. Not Impressed with that, so we had to kill over 1.5 hour to check in. If you say check in is between 6p-10p, then you darn well should be there or don't take the $$.

I had the place to myself during my one night stay, but it could get a bit hectic when it's fully booked in peak summer. Could be fun.

This is a home made to be a guest house. The welcome was warm, the room was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Gerry is a very hospitable host. Just 10 minutes from the town, it's an easy walk.

I had a very disappointing experience staying at this rental. From the beginning, communication with the host was problematic. When I tried to arrange my check-in time, I was met with a rude and unprofessional response. While most places allow check-in around 3 PM, the host insisted on a 7 PM check-in and a 9 AM check-out, which was inconvenient. When I arrived, the host’s behavior was aggressive and unfriendly. I was asked inappropriate questions and felt discriminated against. Additionally, the room I was given did not match the photos, and it was in poor condition. Furthermore, I was warned that I must leave immediately if there was any noise, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Overall, my experience was extremely negative, and I strongly advise others not to book here.

Peaceful stay in Foxford We spent two nights here and couldn't ask for anything better. The guesthouse was very clean, calm, and gives a cozy atmosphere. Perfect location just a few minutes walking from the town center. Special mention to the owner Gerry who is a welcoming, funny, and lovely person. We recommend this place if you travel to this area in Ireland

The property was welcoming, warm and homely and very clean! The hospitality from Gerry, the host, was second to none and I had a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate recommending this for a relaxing break or longer holiday. The warm hospitality of Ireland has done it again for me. Thank you.

WI-FI Size of room

No Breakfast in the price so that is fine I booked what i thought was a room with an eunsuite which turned out to be room with an outside bathroom which should have been advertised as such. The room was quite small for a couple . The window board has some residue of previous guests which was not washed off On the positive side the bed was comfortable with ample duvet etc The general property seemed clean At the price paid I was not happy overall and will not either recommend the property or come back again. The owner was defensive when I pointed out about the bathroom situation

No breakfast. No water or glasses in bedroom or bathroom. No one around to request one. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. The bed was comfortable but a jug of wstrr and hlass was lacking. I had great difficulty with the shower but finally got it going successfully. Still standing in the nip tunng nobs to no avail for 10 minutes was not ideal!
