Loved the spacious rooms and the communal kitchen where we got to chat with other guests.

Breakfast could have been a bit more interesting. Perhaps a croissant or pastry could be included The location was excellent

There was a fridge and a kettle in the bedroom. It would have been nice to have cups and tea bags provided and water glasses.

The accommodation was well-priced. The bedroom with private shower was lovely: very spacious, clean and airy. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

The communal areas of the courtyard and kitchen were a little less clean, but this was understandable in a busy, child-friendly and dog-friendly establishment. The pressure in the bathroom wash basin cold tap was liable to go from a drip to a strong surge, but this is just a detail.

An amazing location. It is a lodge not a hotel. It is make your own breakfast and not fancy. But we loved our time there. Jess was fantastic. O’Neills pub next door has fantastic musicians on Sunday nights.

Our bed was tired - we solved it by adding spare Donna’s underneath the mattress protector- however we didn’t complain as the property was good value and everything else especially location was brilliant

Such a wonderful hostess and clean, convenient property to explore the tip of the Beara peninsula. Pub next door is fun and views are gorgeous. Would stay again!

The village of Allihies is at the tip of the Bera Peninsula. There is a nice beach there and there are mountains for hiking. It’s a quaint little village with a couple of pubs.

The breakfast wasn’t much of a breakfast. However, if you brought your own ingredients, you could probably make your own breakfast. Because there is a kitchen there.

Basic accommodation, hot shower, bed okay.

Needed a shower caddy or something in the bathroom to put a few things. Nowhere to hang or put Dopp kit.

This was a lovely place. Jess the owner was very welcoming and helpful. It had been a hostel in a previous life but now all rooms are individual bookings. We stayed in the double room with an ensuite. We liked the self-catering shared kitchen facilities and the breakfast items. There is a nice outdoor courtyard area for when the weather is good, The place in general was lovely, quiet and easy-going.

A shared living area to sit and perhaps watch TV later in the evening would be a nice addition.

    Property response:

Thank you very much for staying with us. We are glad that you had a lovely stay. Hope to see you again.

The location for where we needed to be was excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Messages were always answered very quickly. We liked the idea of being able to cook you own food, which would be very good if we came back. The room was kept warm with the heater which was very much appreciated.

The room was very basic. We had an issue with the shower on the night of our arrival, it was rectified by the morning.

We loved everything about this warm and cosy guest house. It's in a great location next to a lovely little pub serving great food. It's spotlessly clean , the host we met was delightful and the breakfast was generous and plentiful.
