Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The stairs - the design of the stairs and the depth of the steps - require reasonable agility and sure footedness.

I would make only minor recommendations; fewer scented oils, a can opener and a bottle opener are useful. Don't expect a view, ceilings are quite low and the stairs take getting used to. Unless you're elderly or tall these are very minor. The wifi somehow is really slow down despite decent up speed, this might be annoying.
Excellent location, worth it to walk up to the restaurant (I'm sure the pub is also fine) and small stands are nearby. If you want to climb Craogh Patrick this is your ideal spot. Since it was permanently cloudy halfway up we instead made some different climbs, hikes and roadtrip, all of which are nearby. The appartment was cosy, clean, furnished with all the basics and we were happily surprised to find coffee and tea. Selfservice checkin and checkout, so late arrivals were no problem.

Accomodation was lovely. Everything that we needed. We met Ciarar the owner who went out of her way to help. Will visit again and stay at the stables. Ciara thank you for all your help this weekend from Murray and I plus my brother Mark and his family.

The only thing I didn’t like was the state of the oven. Everything else was spotless.
Brilliant location at the foot of Croagh Patrick mountain. Very comfortable bed and pillows with fresh white bed linen. Well equipped kitchen. Nice cosy loft bedroom but watch your head on the low part of the sloping ceiling. Also carefully on the steep stairs. The blackout blind on the velux window was appreciated.

Great little studio, perfect for a getaway to Westport/Croagh Patrick! The pictures don’t do justice to how lovely this space is. Ciara was a very responsive and helpful host. Great location within walking distance to Croagh Patrick/pubs and we got the bus (15mins) into Westport, we will definitely be back for better weather to climb Croagh Patrick!

Self check-in was great and super. The host is super responsive and supportive! The apartment is cozy and very comfortable. A perfect place to rest after an active hiking day. Also no stress with parking.

Could use a spatula for cooking in the kitchen. This next one is more advice than a dislike: becareful coming out of the accomodation its a busy road and people go 80km/h on the road so make sure its clear.
Met Ciara the owner of the accomodation super nice and helpful. The location is amazing if youre hiking Croagh Patrick and if the weather is nice youre 5mins drive from a beach. Me and my Fiancé used the accomodation to explore achill which is like an hour drive away did a whole day tour.. and the drive from the accomodation to achill wild atlantic way is amazing. The accomodation itself is fully equiped with washing machine/ dryer. Bathroom and shower. You have an amazing view of croagh patrick especially the window of the bedroom or if you want stand outside and just admire the site. Theres wifi, kitchen, bathroom and toilet.

Booked this as it looked a cosy, clean and quaint apartment at the bottom of Croagh Patrick and had above 9 ratings. The accommodation was very disappointing and I would not recommend for a trip to the Westport area. There were issues with the heating system and my first evening was spent trying to get this sorted with the owner. The apartment bathroom is very small and is located downstairs which is not very comfortable as the small bedroom is on a gallery floor upstairs with very awkward stairs to negotiate which are not very safe. The apartment was not clean and fresh and the bathroom had a bad smell. Was booked to stay 3 nights but left after 2 nights as I couldn't face staying a 3rd night in what I can only describe as a very grim apartment. If you want nice comfortable, warm, and clean accommodation avoid this studio apartment.
Convenient to Croagh Patrick.
