Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBed wasn't comfortable, if I was a student, I'd need a mattress topper!
Well equipped kitchen, had body/hair wash in case you forgot it, only 15-20 min walk from the centre, and staff were lovely.

SpainMaybe it id a bit far away from the city center walking however the bus stop is just 3 minutes away and comes with regular service. Eyre square with bus is just at about 15 minutes.
Spacious room, with a big bed for two people, clean bathroom and towels with all in one soap. Overall facilities are modern and its very easy to check in and out.

IrelandThe property itself is absolutely fine but the location is further than you might realise. You can only access the river walk, for example, at certain points - despite what Google Maps thinks - and there’s a lot of doubling back on yourself to get to the actual building. Add to that a lack of signage. Also, the shower was tiny which usually doesn’t bother me, but I did find myself wondering how other people might fit.
Clean room with basic facilities for cooking in a shared kitchen. Staff were helpful. Near a pleasant river walk. It was quiet when I stayed.

New ZealandOnly downer was the noise from very young, very excited overseas students staying nearby in large groups. Understandable. Only got a bit too much once. Forgave them. We were all young once. Oh - and it was very expensive.
Nice riverside walk into town. Loved the cleaning team who swept through like an army every morning. You could almost hear “The Ride of the Valkyries” booming after them. Clean, comfortable room and shared kitchen. Helpful staff. Very clearly geared towards the welfare and support of students, which spills over to the summer guests.

IrelandRoom felt way cramped and smaller compared to all the other student accommodations that we have stayed in at the same price range. There was no proper closet for clothes. I understand it’s a student accommodation but even students need those, don’t they? Too many boxed shelves.
It was a bit on the outskirts. So, peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The room itself felt a bit cramped at the price range.

ItalySince it’s a campus, there are naturally a lot of young people around, so it can get quite noisy at night
Spacious and bright room. There are common areas and a room with washing machines and dryers, which are very convenient for longer trips

Czech RepublicThe only thing we can think of is adding one more chair to a room for two people (so far there is only one which is a bit annoying), and the fan in the bathroom is on 24/7 and is very loud at night.
The accomodation was great. The room was small, but clean with loads of space to keep our things in. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean. The room was cleaned every day. Shared kitchen was equipped with everything we could think of. Location was ok, within walking distance to the city centre.

IrelandThe doors banged very loudly as they closed in the shared apartment. From 6am both mornings, you could hear vehicle reversing alarms on the maintenance vehicles in the courtyard outside. Otherwise a great stay.

United KingdomThe room was quite warm at night, and we wondered if the heating was on in summer. We aren't used to this. It may suit others.
Great rooms, wish I'd had halls like this when I was at University! Location was super for Galway and the walk to town was mostly in through the campus, easily signed by blue dots on the path.

AustraliaRoom was hot, but easily fixed by getting fan from reception for 20€ deposit (should be routinely supplied without need to enquire as rooms could be very hot in summer periods where daily temp over 15 degrees; no air con to rooms) Shower was small with poorly adjustable shower rose; no ability to adjust water pressure. Unclear whether this issue was limited to our room as another resident said their shower was great.
Good access to and from city via local bus (number 404 . Eyre square to Corrib Village). Access to kitchen with cooking facilities, fridge, kettle, toaster, but no coffee tea supplied. Comfortable bed. Room very compact with limited circulation space for two people.
