Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe amenities are rather lacking.
Beautiful grounds and a lovely old manor house. The young ladies that were at the front desk were helpful with recommendations and anything we needed during our stay. Our rooms were large and clean, we even saw the antique furniture being polished. They went out of their way with special treats for my daughter’s birthday and gave us lovely view rooms. I appreciated the hospitality we received from everyone we encountered.

United KingdomJust croissant in the morning, butter and jams would have been nice. We don't like shelves over the wash basin in bedrooms, you bang your head when you try to freshen up. Shower cubicle would benefit from a refresh.
Staff were incredible; friendly, helpful and welcoming. Having tea and coffee facilities in a common room rather than your own room encourage guests to meet and talk. Wonderful bed and very big bedroom.

Second time here, and I have booked again. This is simply the best place to be for a good rest in stunning surroundings. The best part however is still the wonderful staff. From kind and helpful Danielo, who brought my bags to the room, to smiling Alice at the reception, and to Saorce, (sp...sorry!) who personally called me to inform me of check in times. But the jewel is Yvonne, the manager who thoughtfully brought me a welcome basket full of gluten free goodies, and then....when it proved difficult to get a taxi, personally escorted me to the bus station in her car. Please come to Ennismore House. It will be for you, as it has been for me, a wonderful memory of your trip to Ireland.

United KingdomWe loved every minute of our three day stay. The house was just magnificent and we all felt as we had been transported into a bygone era. Well done to all for maintaining the integrity of that beautiful building. Comfy beds, lovely staff, magnificent location.

United StatesThe bus is a long way into town because it goes up a hill. A car is better.
Wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful room, with pristine linens and a lot of light. Great croissants and tea all day. The staff is the best....

United StatesThe biggest gripe is that there was no refrigerator in the room, but other than that the room was very comfortable and enjoyable.
The house has large rooms with tall ceilings. Clean and comfortable, with great staff and a very history-filled environment that is interesting to be in. The hot beverages and biscuits being available at all times was a great touch!

Everything! The house is beautiful, a true privilege to stay here. Yvonne, the manager is beyond kind helpful and efficient. She helped with so many things that I would need a book to write them all. Siorece is the loveliest and kindest person as well, helpful in every way and willing to chat. Constanza and Alice were very helpful as well, as was Danielo. My room was on an immense garden, so you feel as though you are in the countryside. It is a bit isolated,n but there is a bus down the road. Most people have cars. The rooms are very spacious and clean and beautiful The towels are thick and white. The shower has abundant hot water. The croissants are fresh and delicious. There is classical music playing in the lounge. I might just want to live here.....

United Stateswish there had been air conditioning... the week we spent in Ireland (July) the weather was amazing BUT it was hot compared to what they are used to... record temps the week we were there :) We are from Alabama so 80 degrees in July is cool to us but we have air conditioning. Most of the hotels in Ireland did not have air conditioning and it was really warm at night.. that was the only negative and it wasn't terrible it was just a little warm at night... but the place was AMAZING!!!
The Ennismore House was amazing!! The grounds were beautiful.... the rooms were beautiful... the beds were sooo comfy!! The staff was wonderful!!!!!! If we ever go back to Cork I would absolutely stay again and will definitely tell others about our experience!

United StatesBeautiful property and location. The room was clean and spacious. The sitting room was very charming with a historic feel. The hotel clerk, Saoirse, was extremely friendly and helpful. She went above and beyond to help us with our lost luggage, which was the airlines fault. We absolutely loved our stay at Ennismore house.

GermanySince the place is still actively renovating and expanding, it was quite loud (machinery, drills etc) in our room. Not all the time, but often enough to notice, which was a little bit offputting.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place itself has a very unique atmosphere, the garden is wonderful and you've got a very nice view. The complimentary tea/coffee & crossaints were very good.

United KingdomThe mattress topper was a bit too soft for my husband and me, however I requested for it to be removed and they were happy to oblige. Also the walls between the rooms that were partitioned were very thin and noise travelled through easily. Unfortunately there was nothing that the staff could do about this.
The hotel was in a lovely building set amongst lovely grounds and beautifully furnished. The location was slightly out of town, however as we had a car it was easy enough for us to get around. Although the hotel did provide breakfast they did provide tea, coffee, juice and fresh croissants every morning. Tea and Coffee was available throughout the day. The staff were all very helpful and happy to answer all our questions and tend to our requests. We enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer.

United KingdomUnusual rather than dislike. Bathroom door would not close -wide open. Odd little things that aren’t quite right like touching the towel rail at it fell off. But easy to put back.
Outstanding building and grounds. Plenty of room to walk around inside - breakfast room with all day tea/coffee.
