Disappointing that there was only one mirror and that was in the bathroom. Also the shower didn’t turn on until the mains were switched on and it wasn’t easy to find.

Great location, helpful & friendly staff, comfy beds, clean and spacious. Were able to get into our room earlier than planned. Hairdryer, plenty of towels, toiletries and tea making facilities. Ear plugs were provided too as it’s in the Temple Bar area.

The pillows were little to be desired. Euro bills are thicker than the pillows on the beds. Each room should have more than a small fan, the room we had had direct sunlight and with no AC it’s crucial to keep air moving.

Location was ideal. Easy access from street.

Only one of the windows opened and there is no AC. It was unusually warm in Ireland during our stay so the room was borderline hot both days of our stay.

Wonderful location, beautiful room. Street noise wasn't as bad as other reviews had mentioned. Staff was very helpful and even went the extra mile to book a taxi for us for our travel to the airport.

The windows were not soundproof which we knew when we booked the room. If those would have been soundproofed it would have been a 10 points from us. The staff has put earplugs in the room, but we just put an extra pillow on top of our ears and we all slept well.

The room was very nice. Had a quadroom with 2 singles and 1 double. Comfortable beds. Very nice bathroom. Corner room with windows towards Temple bar street. The bathroom had both shampoo and conditioner. The room was very welcoming. Big flat screen TV. I had emailed with the staff a couple of times before arrival, and I always got a speedy reply. We can also recommend their pub. The location is Tempel Bar so plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops just outside the door. Also a shop for buying smaller groceries is only a 2 min walk away. The day of our arrival we came with train to Heuston. It took about 25 min to walk. Very simple to find. The day of our departure we took the Dublin Express airportbus, only a 10 min walk from the hotel. Really well located for many sightseeings, like Book of Kells, hop on hopoff buses, etc, city shopping, cafees. So if you are fine with hearing noise outside your window until around 3 in the morning, I can highly recommend the quad room here. We will for sure be back.

Didn’t know about the 2 flights of stairs and the morning noise of the empty kegs being taken out of all the bars.

Right in the middle of the temple bar area. Walkable to so many things to see and do . Staff was very nice .

Right in the centre of yhe entertainment and restaurant district. Really comfy beds. Great ensuite. Secure and safe. Easy check in at Norseman pub, but rooms are in an adjacent building.

Our room was very hot, but we didn’t realize we could open the windows near the roof until the next day. We also could not get in until 4:45, but the staff in the bar was very accommodating.

    Location is great.

The only downside I could see would be noise, if people cannot sleep through it. They do provide earplugs if that is something that one would need.

Convenient location to the pick up we had scheduled with a tour the following morning. I have never stayed over a bar before, and the check-in process of seeing a bartender was a bit odd, but overall, the location, room, and stay were just fine. Know that the street outside can get loud, so if you cannot sleep through everything like me, it could be a problem. The shower was hot, plenty of towels, and there was a place to stay for the evening at a more affordable price.

Location is just too noisy. Music and antisocial behaviour outside past 4am means you won’t sleep at all. They do provide earplugs which we all used, but it didn’t make a difference. Room doesn’t have anywhere to hang a jacket or put your clothes which was annoying. Check in wasn’t easy- we had to speak to bar staff who had to call someone else and we had to wait etc, then when we tried to use the door to the room we were given into trouble and told to go the other way (even though the staff member had taken us this way just a few hours prior). It was a bit all over the place.. Clean though and done what we needed I.e. bed to sleep in and decent shower

The Norseman is in the heart of Temple Bar--Party Central--but things were quiet by midnight. The room was small but comfortable and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Very noisy at night, you can’t sleep until 4 am there is live music in the street in front of the hotel, many people celebrating, of course you are at temple bar ;) windows don’t shut tight but you als can’t open them to get some fresh air. Council cleaning vehicle very noisy at about 3:30 am.

Beyond our control - there was a plumbing issue on our first day preventing shower use until later in the day. Not a major inconvenience, and it was resolved as quickly as possible and handled professionally by staff. While it was disclosed upfront, there were lots of steps and no lifts - not a problem for those who are physically able, but we had members of our group who found it to be a challenge.

Our group had a great time! Location was perfect for our plans. Alex was very helpful, kind and funny. He was probably one of the hardest working staff members - he was everywhere from cleaning out bins in the early day to the bar in evening. In fact, we left Dublin for a few days and when we returned we went back to say hello and to bring new members of our group to meet him and to enjoy fun, music and drinks at The Norseman, but it was his night off! We will just have to return again in the future! The Norseman is my new favorite place to stay when in Dublin!
