For a room advertised as a "Superior King Room", it was not as large as one might expect. While one of us had a bedside light and table, something similar at the other side would have been nice, although that side was against the wall - a bit of 'invention' required.

Donal, our host, was as welcoming as you could wish. He even recommended an excellent restaurant (Inside Out) and rang to get us a booking The bed was comfy and the room clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was simple, left in the room's fridge overnight, but we weren't hungry when we'd finished. A good place for short stays like ours while on tour.

There was an odd thing about no hot water at night because they switched to solar. Only unexpected thing. Still a great stay.

Friendly, organised owner. A nice spot to stay in Slane. Would recommend!

The room was very small Altho that was expected.

The host met us with a proper Irish welcome. He quickly called to reserve a spot 5 minutes walk away. He showed us everything personally. It was lovely to have to have our own little breakfast nook with food supplied before heading out for the day.

Donal is a wonderful host. He was extremely knowledgeable of the area and provided many wonderful tips on how to get the most out of our trip. The scones were wonderful as well. Would definitely book a stay there again. It was located in the middle of everything.

The only down side was the room we had was a pitched roof and my husband is 6ft 2 tall and kept banging his head.

We were there for a wedding and there was no where is hang anything. So my full length dress and my husbands suit had to be drapped over the sofa, the suit survived but my dress was very creased by the morning. There was a tiny window about 1.5m into the wall, so no light and no air. We knew the ceilings were sloppy but I suppose we didn't realise the extent of how close the room can be. It needed an extra clean, especially in the bathroom.

Donal the host very friendly. A whiskey on arrival and had lots of information about the area. He was a great host. Even provided an iron and little ironing board for my husbands shirt. The bed in our room was comfortable. There was a full length mirror. A fan was provided and handy plug sockets by the bed.

Not that I didn't entirely dislike it, I thought I booked bed and breakfast but the breakfast were scones corn flakes tea coffee and juice in the fridge in the room I was staying in with a little table and chairs. I thought it was a nice touch but I thought when I booked bed and breakfast that it would be a cooked breakfast. In saying that I had an extra half hour in beds to myself eating my scone.

Comfortable, great bed. Friendly guy owns the place. I don't drink it but he offered a shot of local whiskey on arrival. Clean place. Good location. I would definitely recommend

Quiet and welcoming place. Great location to visit the celtic sites, other cultural locations, and Dublin. Useful and sharp advice to get the most out of our time in the area.

The rooms were small, with slanting ceilings that made it hard to reach one side of the bed.

Our Host, Donal, greeted us with shots of the local whisky (smooth), helped with our suitcases, and called a local place to make a dinner reservation for us on a busy night.

Did the trick. Like corn flakes, orange juice the best. Would liked to have spent more time in the room to relax and just enjoy the quietness.

Nice cosy room with good en-suite with toiletries. Well stocked fridge with local produce for your in-room breakfast. Excellent location for Slane, monuments etc. If stayed longer would have liked a TV.

The room was very small for two people with luggage, and very warm with just one tiny fan.

Donal was a great host, helping us plan out our day. We were really close to the beautiful Slane Abbey, and it was nice to be in a residential area away from traffic. The lodging was beautifully set up, carefully maintained, and very clean. We felt very welcomed and safe, and for a bonus there was a friendly dog to greet us!

Donal was very understanding and a generous host all round. Loved the local whiskey on arrival too! Slane itself is small but perfectly formed and a great stop for local exploration.

Unfortunately the low headroom over most of the room was uncomfortable, compounded by the lack of view through the small, remote window.

Donal was very welcoming and helpful. The room was well serviced. The position was ideal for investigating the Boyne Valley.

The proprietor was friendly, helpful and informative. The location allowed us a place to rest, just having come off the plane in Dublin. A great place to begin our vacation from.

The room while clean was very small and cramped. Access to the bed was from one side only. Which presented some difficulties for two over seventies.

Donal is an excellent helpfull host. Interested in what we were doing and gave us helpful advice on what was available in the area.

Donal was super helpful and attentive. The traditional wiskey on arrival was such a lovely detail. He warned us of the room being small, but to be honest it had everything we needed. The walls were painted with celtic symbols :) Donal got us a table booked in a beautiful restaurant and gave us good advice regarding where to go and what to see.
