Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumOur staying was too short
Further point west A truly unique place: a lovely cottage floating between the blue sea, the big sky and the rugged moorland, flaming with pink and purple heather. Inside, the cottage is warm and comfortable, with charming old furniture, luxurious linen and towels, beautiful fabrics, rugs and pottery. Even the soaps (from Aesop) speak of high quality hospitality. Every window is an amazing picture, changing colours and light with every hour. Not a house in sight, you will feel very far from the tourist crowd and the busy world, still you’ll be a few minutes driving (or even at walking distance) from restaurants, golf clubs, marvellous white beaches, horse riding center. Laura and her family are perfect hosts: generous, welcoming and extremely discreet, her gourmet breakfast is lavish and mouthwatering. All around, winding trails lead to the magnificent coastline and to Connemara explorations.

United StatesThe location is far and not easy to get to, narrow roads and steep hills. That is part of the charm though to be remote, away from the hustle and bustle of cities. You're staying on the bottom floor in the same home and there's only 1 bathroom to use. So you need to coordinate with the other room as there are 2 rooms and up to 4 people that can stay there. Being more remote, the wifi is not very strong and cellphone service while available is slow.
Breakfast was amazing, homemade and delicious. The host Laura was so nice and kind, cleaning up after us right after we left during the morning. She made us an extra special breakfast on our last day, being mindful and thoughtful about making us different things every day. We stayed in the same house but it felt relaxing, comfortable and restful, like staying with a close family member. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again if we ever come back.

NetherlandsWe came for 1 night as a family of 3 (two adults in their thirties and an elderly person) and booked two different rooms. We had an amazing stay in this house in the middle of the heathen, with view on the sea. Nice bedrooms, comfortable beds. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We had nice discussions with them. They made us an amazing breakfast ( cinnamon roll, fresh fruits, fresh bread...). We would love to come back.

AustriaWhere do I even begin...we were able to spend a fantastic holiday right by the sea in beautiful Ireland. The location was simply breathtakingly beautiful: the nature, the view, the peace and quiet! Laura and Tommy, along with their two lovely dogs, are simply fantastic hosts with such warm hospitality. Laura served us a sensational breakfast every day. We had lovely conversations, and the two of them gave us numerous tips for our excursions and even put together routes for us. I'm also very grateful to them for always reminding us of the length of our self-planned routes, thus saving us from driving too far. We gratefully accepted all of their tips. It was an exceptional stay, and I would highly recommend Furthest Point West! Thank you for this wonderful time with you!

Above all, the owner is truly one of the kindest and most charming people we’ve ever met — she made us feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, the beds extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts, with freshly baked pastries, were absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, this is the best bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommended!
