Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LuxembourgA Truly Special Stay at Glebe House My 9-year-old daughter and I stayed at Glebe House on the second night of our trip through Ireland, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The house itself is stunning – elegant and full of character, almost like stepping into a beautifully kept museum, yet still incredibly warm and welcoming. Our host was exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the view from our window – watching horses graze peacefully outside was such a memorable and calming sight for both of us. The breakfast was made to order and absolutely delicious, with care taken to suit our tastes perfectly. Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully considered, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed throughout. It was a truly pleasant and memorable experience – one of those special places that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and genuine Irish hospitality.

SwitzerlandAll was excellent!
Glebe House is such a gorgeous place! Full of history and true style with love for details, everything is so special. We spent four nights at Glebe House and it was the best place on our trip to Ireland. Linda was a very elegant and friendly host, the docs were really cute and friendly even to us shy people, the horses make it even more special. The surroundings are relaxed and there are attractions in all directions. We loved it, thank you Linda!

AustraliaNothing to dislike.
Linda was really friendly. We were visiting family in the area. We had a family room and a double room. I loved the fact that the family room was in effect 2 rooms ( great for my teenagers) house is very quiet, right out in the country with views over the fields. Kids loved the animals. Sat nav directed us right there despite comments online saying people had difficulties finding it. We had no problems. Would recommend for a quiet stay

The property is very impressive, with the gates and the horses. The house is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The owner spent some time with us to explain the house interesting story. The breakfasts were very good with lots of food and fresh fruits.

IrelandThe experience of Glebe House was in essence without fault. The only down turn would be if you found yourself being a non driver. The House is located around 30 mins drive from Mullingar. We journeyed in the darkness of night from Mullingar to Glebe House in rain, the road is twisty and rural but in the day light things are very different.
Glebe House is an experience, where a BB experience, attempts to marry the experience of that of a boutique hotel. This close union is exceptionally Met and it's very much a marriage that works really well. Our host and owner Linda was extremely welcoming and friendly. The surroundings of Glebe House are other worldly, with a mix of antique furniture, modern glimpses in tasteful decor, all complimenting each other well. The House is situated on beautiful gardens, though we were disappointed because of the Irish weather, we were prevented of being able to discover the garden gems due to inclement rain. We stayed before in other country houses, where a continental style breakfast was on offer, but Linda went all out with her offering of Continental style and the Full Irish. All beautifully served and cooked to perfection. Of course, breakfast was served in a beautiful well lit Dining room with crockery reminiscent of times past while homemade bread and jams were also on offer.

Glebe House is gorgeous! The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in! Linda was a wonderful host. She made breakfast each morning which was served in her beautiful dining room overlooking the yard where we could see horses. You will need a car for this area. It is quiet and so peaceful.
