How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hotel is generally old. The kettle was dirty. Exhausted fan in bathroom is not functioning well.
Staff is welcoming and showing the best hospitality. Location is good. Breakfast is unexpected good.

The beds were super uncomfortable. You can feel the springs in the mattress. My eldest daughter slept on her pillow because her hip hurt from the springs poking into her- not great! The beds were really rickety. The walls/floors are really thin. I could hear conversations from next door and at 1am, the guests upstairs came back and chatted and stomped around for 2 hours so I ended up putting on white noise to drown them out. Needless to say I didn't get a good night sleep here. My husband with my other daughter also experienced a similar situation with a loud guest staying above them. If you want a comfy bed and thick walls- stay elsewhere!
We had an okay night at the Glena House. As we booked last minute for 1 night, we had to book two twin rooms (travelling as a family of four) which was fine. Rooms were clean and basic. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking onsite- bit tight so I'd reverse park into spaces. Breakfast the next morning was ok- you have a choice of cereals and fruit or ordering a cooked breakfast from a set menu. Location was great- 15/20 min walk into Killarney town centre.

Our double bed was quit hard but single beds were fine. No shower gel/shampoo but we came prepared. Not a problem for 1 night stay! Overall all good experience!
Location was fab and the friendliness of staff. Breakfast was good.

Decor a little dated but that's part of the traditional charm !
The staff were exceptional . Reception staff were accommodating and welcoming gave suggestions on places to eat and helpful with directions .dining room staff were friendly and highly efficient. It was a pleasure to stay there. great location and quality breakfast . Great variety of guests . Seems a very popular spot

The beds were extremely old, torn and tilting (two were about to fall apart). The mattresses were extremely worn to a point you got poked by springs in all the beds.
The location was great, and the staff was super nice

The room, although nice sized, could use a refresh and the bed mattress was pretty thin. There were not a lot of options for food within walking distance, as it was a bit away from the city centre.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The free breakfast which was included in the price was quite ample and a nice surprise! There was free parking right on site.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, and because we were in the front room, it was quite noisy even with the window closed. Anyway, it was one night. I really liked the place. We were very well welcomed.
The lady who welcomed us was very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was very family-friendly. Clean, the shower was good, and the view from the window was beautiful. The B&B was full of flowers, which made it even more charming. Breakfast was good :)

We were on first floor and sometimes when people passed at night or early in the morning the creaking floorboards had us awake.
Lovely B&B 5/10 minute walk from centre of Tralee. Clean accomodation, comfy bed, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Parking outside door, a bit tight but quite a few spots.

No sockets near the bed or spare sockets in the room had to plug out lamps and kettles to charge anything Tv didnt work Bed was too soft thats my own preference I perfer a harder matters
