How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A lovely house, immaculately presented and a really lovely room with a view of the mountains. Rosie and Brendan are perfect hosts and provided a varied choice of breakfast.

The room was warm but Brendan sorted us out with a fan which made it much more comfortable.
Great place to stay for a couple of nights to explore Westport and surrounding areas. Easy to get to from the town and easy to explore from. Nice size room with lovely bathroom. Hearty breakfast! Thank you to Brendan and Rosie.

Quiet at night but the green keepers on the golf course opposite start up early in the morning. Close to Westport but 15-20 euro taxi fare.
Very clean house, good shower, view of Croagh Patrick from bedroom window.

Nothing! All was very good.
Very comfortable, clean and quiet with very nice hosts. Also very close to the village centre in a peaceful setting. Also, a towel warmer, very nice decor and a great breakfast!

Nothing really, just perhaps a king size bed rather than the double provided.
Lovely hosts, excellent breakfast provided. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the location was beautiful....peaceful and scenic, yet only a short drive into town.

Having to remove my shoes which were dry & clean I understand during the winter months this would be applicable, but during a heat wave & straight out of a dry, clean car, a little odd.

Would have liked a smart TV, only terrestrial channels available.
Very clean and tidy. Particularly nice shower room off the ground floor bedroom. Good varied choice for breakfast, with generous quantities.

It was a little too far to walk into Westport,so a car is needed,but it was fairly easy to park there.
Very comfortable and clean room with plenty of tea and coffee. Lovely ensuite and shower. Brendan and Rosie made up a sofa bed in the room as a twin room wasn't available for myself and my cousin (at the time of booking),and this was comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and it was very well cooked and tasty.

A little way outside Westport and no public transport so had to drive in each night.
Lovely bedroom and bathroom. Very friendly hosts.

Nothing that we experienced.
We arrived late in the evening and had to catch an 8 am ferry the next morning, so, sadly, were unable to experience the breakfast. I loved the peaceful location and the beautiful view. The room was small but very comfortable and nicely furnished.

A great place if you are planning on climbing Croagh Patrick. We could see it from our bedroom window. The bedroom and ensuite was spotless. We loved the sweets and fresh water. Beds comfortable, blackout curtains also made for a great nights sleep. The breakfast was lovely and would recommend to anyone visiting Westport and surrounding area.

The stay was incredible. Rosie and Brendan were the nicest people and go above and beyond to make you comfortable. We arrived late in the evening and Rosie hosted us with such kindness. The place is really nice, clean and it feels like home. It is located in a very nice area and very close to Westport centre, which is great (we travelled by car). The breakfast was also amazing, with multiple choices of homecooked meals. It was a great stay - we're definitely coming back when the weather is better :D

Need to have a better sign post.
Greenside B&B offered a comfortable and relaxing room to stay which what me and my friends needed after climbing the Croagh Patrick. It has beautiful and very clean shower/toilet. Excellent view of the mountains. The hosts are very nice and hospitable. They gave us hearty breakfast. Good value for money.
