Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We went for dinner in hotel it was quiet we waited so long for our food and when i asked they told me they forgot to put the docket in i work in this industery and i understand if its busy but it was so quiet
The bed was really comfortable the girl on reception was very helpful and friendly

Some small annoying things - no hooks or towel rail in the bathroom, extremely noisy ventilation fan, haphazard service in the restaurant. But basically too expensive for what you get.
Convenient location, easy access by car. Large room. Helpful staff.

Room was on the small side for an Executive/King Room. Extractor Fan extremely noisey. Car Park very badly signposted for travellers approaching from the M6. Clear directions should be included on hotel website.
Great location, easy walking distance to city center. Room was comfortable clean and nicely decorated.

The rooms are small if you have big suitcases. They don’t have outlets in the bathroom. No drawer space.
Clean rooms, sheets could be higher quality. They accommodated us with a rollaway bed, The skylights and blackout blinds are wonderful.

Outside area was not clean and made a poor impression upon arrival. The front desk was short staffed so there was a long wait to check in. Not overly friendly. Our room was supposed to have a view as well as robes and slippers but did not (and we chose not to request them). No real information about what the hotel offered except for the food options.

Breakfast was very good with a large variety of food choices and some friends ordered additional items of the menu. Location was good just beside the centre. Rooms were modern and clean with good quality furniture.

Some mornings for breakfast there was a long queue for the hot drinks machine so we got a drink at a coffee shop. Maybe another machine might be useful? Maybe a little more storage might have been good as there was only one small drawer. We only stayed for 3 nights so definitely didn't bother us too much for a short stay. The extractor fan in our en suite was super loud! We asked for some help switching it off at the reception desk. They suggested taking the key card out of the unit by the light switch, but that did nothing despite a small sign in our room saying to pull the cord.
Staff were all fab and friendly, happy to help organise taxis for us and to answer any questions we had. Room was a good size and beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect for exploring the city. Restaurant served a delicious breakfast and dinner menu was great.

Salt cellar was empty when I got room service, obviously an oversight.
Very comfortable hotel with restaurant, bar, fast room service, Rituals toiletries ( that i love), large ensuite and parking (at a charge). Five minute walk to centre of town. Generous check out time at midday.

Car park didn’t give a great first impression but there were spaces it was secure and walk straight into hotel.

Housekeeping knocked and entered our room at 8.45am, she did this in unison !! Most unnerving and highly inappropriate.
The location is perfect to explore Galway City a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. The reception staff and bar / restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well ventilated.
