There didn't appear to be any in-room cooling, and while the temperature at Lough Eske seldom gets unbearably hot, I sleep best in a very cool room and it would have been nice to have the option to drop the temperature by a couple degrees.

The rooms are exceptionally large and equipped with numerous conveniences. The staff are universally friendly, charming, and accommodating. The view is phenomenal, and the good noise proofing in the rooms combined with the quiet atmosphere of the lake makes for a serene stay.

The only one criticism would be the lack or air conditioning in our lakeside view room . In a beautiful large room there were only two tiny windows with even smaller openings for ventilation which made the room very hot and stuffy . Even though there was a fan provided , it’s noisy and only effective in one area .

The staff were exceptional, so welcoming, friendly and helpful. And compliments to the chefs and all catering staff as the food was the best we’ve ever had anywhere.

The hotel is very comfortable and, above all, the staff is particularly attentive and responsive. We met somme little difficulties and they took care of them with special attention. Dishes at the bar were also excellent.

We had a wonderful stay - the room far exceeded our expectations, it was so spacious & comfortable. We loved the breakfast, my husband ranking it the top hotel breakfast he's had! Beautiful location, breakfast is served overlooking the lake. The bar is lovely & the terrace area is also beautiful. Lovely walks around the area. We attended a wedding & were spoiled for choice with the food over the weekend. We would love to come back!

Not a thing.

Beautiful and comfortable accommodation in a lovely remote setting. The breakfast was excellent, the service outstanding. Our room was huge and very comfortable, with a fridge and nespresso. The jetted tub a real plus. Shower outstanding. Wish we could have this type of accommodation for the rest of our journey.

There’s never really a need for air-conditioning in Ireland, but this weekend it was the hottest of the year. We did get a fan in our room which helped.

We loved the hotel, the grounds and the staff were amazing. The deluxe suite was awesome.

We would have liked a later dinner reservation and as the bar wasn't particularly busy we feel that more effort might have been made to accommodate this.

Breakfast was excellent and the attention to detail by the staff was commendable. Excellent selection of really fresh food and a real feeling that the staff took pride in their work.
