The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The location was perfect in the center of Thurles. Parking was free and convenient right next to the hotel.

Everything was great , perfect location, great staff ,

At a cost of 194e for the room It was without breakfast It's a little bit expensive Not to give a simple breakfast. Only my opinion We stayed in 2 similar hotels around the same price that weekend, all with breakfast included It then cost 13e a breakfast after that , apart from that its a great hotel, and the staff were fantastic.

This hotel agreed to give me a refund for my bad stay but I still haven't received the money. I don't know if it's them or Booking.com dragging their feet with the paperwork. I came here to stay for my dad's 70th birthday to visit his hometown. However, we didn't realise this was the date of the hurling final. The hotel had a nightclub and live bands on. Even though I was wearing noise cancelling headphones, I could still hear the bass and feel it shaking my chest - that's how loud it was. The fire alarm went off twice in my room along with a red flashing light. Once at midnight, once at three AM. When I spoke to reception, he said, "Well if you were from round here, you would have known about the hurling." ... You run a hotel? A business built specifically on hosting those NOT from your area? He also said that the party was impromptu, even though it had been advertised on their Facebook page seven days before. They could have let their guests have a heads up since the nightclub was on Sunday and Monday, not their usual nightclub days, which I had made sure of ahead of time. Overall, this totally ruined our trip and we head back to Dublin instead for an extra day at considerable expense and not getting to complete our plans in Tipperary. I wasn't happy at a refund for only one night being offered, as the first night was torture we endured and neither of us slept. However, it is adding insult to injury that we still haven't received any refund at all. They told me to leave and contact Booking.com after. I now wonder if this was a tactic to avoid paying any refund at all. I did not stay Monday night and want my money back. I have waited over a month before posting this review, so think I have been patient enough but now I am annoyed and concerned at my lack of refund. Besides from this, the rooms were dated and dusty. The breakfast was inedible.

The property was spotless , in the heart of Thurles town , lovely pub across the road and disco in the adjoining garden until early hours of morning. The food was beautiful. Friendly staff.

Fire alarm echoed at 5am waking up most of hotel. Startled but no explanation as to why this happened. The staff at an event were not able to keep up with serving drink , extremely slow service , taken away from the time to enjoy the event itself.

While the room was clean and beds were comfortable I can’t understand the best USP (unique selling point) was their nice terrace and the sun was shining yet the staff moved the guests from the best thing about the hotel/ the terrace moving the guests and their drinks from the sunny terrace ti the dark interiors because 400 14 year olds would line up to attend the disco… absolute nonsense. Then following morning they closed off the terrace that was still in the sun because and I quote “we only have staff for lunch from outside to co et the terrace “ even though inside was empty was out of bounds! I explained I was a hotel guest and I would prefer my breakfast in the sun on the lively flowered terrace.. no we don’t do that - ok maybe I can have a te? Yea you can order one from inside and take it out yourself… clearly a hotel that’s doesn't want to make much money or maximise their one unique advantage. Also don’t care for repeat clients. Being from the hospitality industry I can’t understand any of ithe operational choices .. if you just want a no frills and a co Forts le bed - this hotel is great anything more - it’s a no. Also huge trippi c hazards e wry where as carpet isn’t fitted and everytime I went to our room I tripped several times and no lift for luggage so not somewhere for someone who can’t list their bags uo steps - they did offer someone to do this but we declined because we are able bodied.. again if you want a clean room good shower and on site carpark - this is your place. If you want anything more than this …. I’m still upset that I wasn’t able to enjoy their front terrace… makes no sencer

Food was good quality and reasonably priced Really liked the art work in the hallways

Only takeaway paper cups in room to have a coffee. Why is this? No fridge in room. No biscuits but did receive complimentary chocolates. No lift and long corridors to rooms

This was a very short stay - basically just to sleep, breakfast and go. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast sausage were especially yummy and the breakfast set me up for a day of sightseeing.

I forgot to check if the hotel had a lift and they didn't, however they kindly carried my heavy suitcase up 2 floors and down at the end of my stay.
