Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This self catering property was ideal for me, my daughter and two grandkids. All 3 bedrooms were en-suite and the kitchen was large and well equipped. The garden was colourful and very well maintained

Hillcrest was spotless and had everything you would need for a trip away. Each room being en-suite added extra privacy. The gardens were beautiful.

Slighty uncomfortable shower that was attached to the wall, but that wasn't critical.
Great house for a big family! Fully equipped with everything you need. House was very clean, comfortable, cozy, warm, wi fi, beds were just amazing everyone has admitted that, 3 bathrooms which is really good for a big group of people. Close to everything. Lady owner was great, friendly and unobtrusive, she lived next door but we never met each other after she has greeted us on arrival and said goodbye when we left. Highly recommend this place. Would come back!

Beautiful bedrooms with ample space, seating area and all en suite. Tv in each bedroom. Very high quality and standard. Fully equipped kitchen should you wish to cook but house situated close to town and all its amenities.

Host met us on arrival, very friendly and walked us through the accommodation and explained everything, even left us biscuits, tea and coffee as we were arriving late, very thoughtful.

The first night the house was v cold as the heating had not been on for a while but the following nights were perfect.
A beautiful clean,quiet and modern house with lovely hostess.We could not have asked for better.Everything was spotless both inside and outside the house.We had a 10 month old with us and the hostess provided a beautiful comfortable cot,a changing mat,a feeding chair and a bag of toys.Overall a fabulous and relaxing stsy.I would highly recommend the Hillcrest luxury apartment.

No faults with accommodation. Kilrush was a bit disappointing but we got out & about,saw beautiful coastline& walks& several beaches for a swim.
This was perfect for my family of 6. Lovely host,in a beautiful apartment which was spotless& very comfortable. Would certainly recommend

Fabulous place, clean, spaceious and everything you could possibly want. Home from home. Quiet, slept like a baby. Beds comfy, hot showers. House was so cosy. Owner was 110%. Would love to go back for a longer trip. Definately be back. Totally recommend it.

The only negative thing I could say about Hillcrest luxury apartments is the steps on the way in and at the front door are a bit of a hazard for older people but if u accompany them it shouldn't be a problem.
We had a lovely 3 days at Hillcrest. A beautiful 2 story apartment that was spotlessly clean and had all the utensils that you would need for a stay here. Ethna met us on arrival and was very friendly and chatty as she showed us around. Would not hesitate to recommend Hillcrest luxury apartments. We as a family of 7 had a lovely stay here.

I can't think of a single thing that could have been better!
The location was perfect for setting off on many day adventures. The beds were comfy, I loved being able to chill our own meals and best of all Ethna was simply put the most fantastic hostess. We're ready to move there!

Everything was perfect! I can't complain for anything.
The house was really cozy and comfortable. It has everything what is needed for the family for a short or long stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I can't imagine what more we could have here.

The owner was amazing, she even dry my clothes and took me to the store first day while I was waiting my family to arrive. The house was exceptional, clean, warm, everything was in and amazingly furnished, I like every detail in the house, even paintings on the wall. If I come back again in Ireland, I will definitely go to this host. My son did the best thing, choosing this property.

My daughter stated this apartment was "Luxurious". It is very lovely, cost is fair. Very nicely decorated, beds are very comfortable, bedrooms are large and one has lots of privacy. A full kitchen which was great to make breakfast, evening snacks and large to hang out in as a family. We would definitely stay here again!!!!

This place is absolutely perfect for families. A wonderful host met us on arrival and explained everything. Large front garden with plenty of space to park, and a private entrance and garden area secluded away from the main house. The house had everything we needed for a family - travel cot, fully kitted kitchen, etc. The house was immaculately cleaned, lots of spare towels, sheets, etc. Beds and bedding were incredibly comfortable too. Location is a great base for exploring Kilrush, Kilkee, Doonbeg, and the surrounding areas.
