The property and our room was lovely, in a great location, with lots of interesting places to explore close by. It’s filled with loads of fascinating music memorabilia that is fantastic to see. Ruth is a great host, really friendly and accommodating. I can highly recommend a stay in Hillside Lodge.

Ruth and the staff were very friendly and chatty. The whole place is packed with fascinating rock/pop memorabilia collected by Stuart. The property is right on the Sky Loop road outside Clifden in a peaceful location, albeit a little far to walk to town. Good choices for breakfast.

All rooms upstairs with steep staircase. If mobility impaired, no elevator. Otherwise highly recommend.

Location was beautiful. Breakfast was great. Porridge and pancakes tasty. The owners and staff were friendly , courteous and helpful. Spotlessly clean. Parking perfect and safe area.

The Lodge is Fabulous, beautiful bedroom comfortable bed , bathroom fantastic. Dining room is spectacular with a beautiful view Delicious breakfast . Parking on sight, short walk across the road then down a path to a castle A very short drive on Sky Loop road to see the best sunset. Ruth is a lovely, kind and caring host Clifden town centre is walkable or a short drive. A pleasure to see a history of music decorated through the Lodge. Its very hard for one to checkout once checked in.

Great location, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and service. The BnB is situated in the country but just a few minutes from restaurants and shopping. The owner's music career memorabilia displayed throughout made this an extra special find!

This is a beautiful and quiet B&B in a great location right on the edge of Clifden. I would high recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Amazing! You can see the attitude towards the guests in every detail. Everything in the room is well thought out. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Firstly, you can choose from a list in advance. Secondly, there were vegan/vegan and gluten free options, which is rare in Ireland. Another plus is the castle, which you can walk to in about 10 minutes. The city is also wonderful. So bright and cheerful.

Starts with a delicious Irish Porridge and followed on by a breakfast of choice; my veggie option consisting of greens, mushrooms, beans and poached eggs was deliciously prepared 👍👍

This was our favorite place to stay in Ireland! Amazing location & views, so quiet, comfy beds, great breakfast, and the best part was Ruth, Stuart and sweet Treacle. (How fun to be welcomed by such a friendly puppy!) Ruth and Stuart are incredible people who truly care for their guests and make them feel like family, not tourists. We hated leaving, but we'll be back!!

We didn't realize that we would be quite so far from town, our mistake. For some reason we thought we would have an ocean view, which we did not.

The owners, Ruth and Stewart, were very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was made to order and just lovely. Our room although not large was completely adequate and comfortable. Stewart was helpful with our bags which we appreciated.
