Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe stayed in the blue door cottage and felt like we missed out a little bit, our cottage didn’t have a view because it was 95% obstructed by the building behind the cottage. The cottage was fairly basic in what was provided, no hair dryer, shampoo, body wash, detergent, coffee, tea, or anything like that, but it did have dish and hand soap. It also has a breakfast nook to eat on, but no table. The only other issue was parking. There often weren’t spots in front of the building, but we were able to park around the corner by the beach, it just was a bit inconvenient because we were traveling with an infant and we had to move the car later in the night. Overall, it was a good stay and I’d stay there again.
The cottage was spacious, had a washing machine and drying rack, all the kitchen necessities, and a beautiful location. It seemed to be clean and everything worked, which was great. We loved having multiple bathrooms. The restaurant was also very tasty.

United StatesEverything worked well enough, and is a great value for the location. Washer was a little wonky, but it ended up getting the job done. Beds are short - I am 6 ft and my feet dangled off the edge, but I rarely sleep with legs fully extended anyway. People in the comments complain about the couch, but it's fine as long as you're not spending your vacation there.
Location is fabulous for exploring the peninsula - Ring of Kerry, hiking Carrauntoohil - and with easy access to nearby towns without having to stay in town. There is a really nice beach within a very short walk. Beautiful sunrise on the other side, also nearby. Very spacious. Quiet, even though the pub is next door.

IrelandIt wasn't the most comfortable couch - the addition of a few more cushions / throw would make it cosier and more comfortable if staying in for a family film.
Location - beautiful place and has a lovely pub and restaurant attached with friendly and helpful staff. Food was lovely and atmosphere was lovely with a pianist playing.

ItalyOur cottage was near the restaurant and its kitchen. We had no problems (no noise, no smells in the house) but the access area to the cottage from the back entrance, which is extremely convenient for accessing the car park and for going to the beach, should be taken care of to make it more pleasant. At little expense and effort, the kitchen equipment could be enriched to make it more suitable for a family stay (and overall, the cottage could benefit from small repairs and renewal).
An absolutely lovely, peaceful place. The small cottage was clean, and equipped with the minimum necessary for a short family stay (kitchen utensils, washing machine). The structure is basic, nevertheless comfortable. The rooms are somehow small but were adequate for our needs. The reception service is the bare minimum, but the staff or the restaurant is supportive and helpful (if you need, just ask, they will do everything to help). The cottage is almost on the beach and outside enjoys an open space and an extraordinary panorama as well as full and immediate access to the beach. Our cottage was near a beautiful pub: excellent beer and once-a-week live music in a real Cromane atmosphere. And a restaurant - again, great food and excellent service. From this place, you can easily get around with your own car. But I recommend a visit to the area, which deserves as much as other more renowned areas of the Irish Atlantic coast. The value for money is excellent if you are pleased with a simple but welcoming accommodation. We have a very great time in Cromane and at the Jacks' Coastguard Cottage.

IrelandAccommodation was good but quite small. Some features were a little dated but not enough to outweigh the considerable advantages of the location for walks, swimming and relaxation.
Idyllic, peaceful location beside restaurant, coffee shop and mobile sauna. Scenic walks , heavenly scenery, and sea swimming on your doorstep. Small but cozy house with everything we needed for five night stay. Parking right outside the door. You could have your morning coffee in the restaurant garden ,looking across the bay to the beautiful vista of Inch beach and the Dingle peninsula.

SpainThe pressure in one of the bathrooms was not very powerful, although we managed to have showers nonetheless. Some little parts of the house were a bit rusty due to the proximity with the salty water I guess (not a major problem though)
My friends and I loved the quietness of the area and proximity to the water (walking distance really) Easy parking and easy to get the keys from the pub next door. It was all clean and the beds were comfortable. Great place for up to 4 people.

IrelandThe property needs attention. There are lots of small issues that would not cost a lot nor take a lot of time to fix. Its a pity because its a great house.
Great house with lovely sea views. Next door to a great bar and restaurant that serves fabulous food.

United KingdomThe couch was not super comfortable. The kitchen had a sign requesting it be kept clean, and we found the grill tray hadn’t been cleaned and a glass had been put in the cupboard unwashed, so not sure how much attention is paid to cleaning the kitchen when guests check out. There were also marks on the ceilings and evidence of black mould around the upstairs windows and it was particularly evident in the back bedroom en-suite. The holiday was a birthday present for my partner and quite a lot of money for me, so I was really disappointed to see mould.
The open plan layout downstairs was lovely. The kitchen was well kitted out with utensils. The beds were so comfy (if quite small, and neither of us are particularly tall). I loved that the rooms had en-suites and that there was a downstairs toilet. The views were stunning. The location was amazing and so idyllic. The restaurant next door was wonderful for a treat.

GermanyThe floor of one of the bathrooms was not clean, I didn't complain, I cleaned myself. The water was not warm all time. We had hot water in the evening but not in the morning. We could not manage to get hot water in the morning, but due to the lack of time we could not ask how to fix it.

PortugalThe showers had so few pressure, it was hard to have a quality bath in the front bedroom. The location, besides being beautiful, is 30 minutes away from the Killarney's city center, which might not be convenient if you wanna enjoy the night there.
The rooms are comfortable and the accommodation is located in a beautiful place, close to the ocean with a great view. The house has a pub next door which is part of the restaurant as well, and this was the highlight of our stay. Everyone was so welcoming and kind in the pub, which is a very cool place.
