Lovely house in a convenient location, about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Galway. It was easy to get to from the N6 without needing to pass through the city. We were in Room 1 and it was really lovely. Nice big comfortable bed with lots of individual covers so you could use as many or as few as you wished overnight which is so much nicer than the one enormous duvet provided by so many hotels and guest houses these days! There was even an electric blanket on the bed which must be lovely on Winter nights! The room was well equipped with tea/coffee, snack bars and both flat and sparkling water. Even a mini fridge provided which could be used to chill your own soft drinks or wine if you wished. Two comfy armchairs in the room too and a glass door leading out into a patio which I assume is shared by other guests in the next room. The staff serving breakfast the next morning were friendly and helpful and there was an excellent choice offered, including different varieties of Eggs Benedict. We had a reduced rate on Booking.com (“Genius Discount” - a term that always makes me smile!) but even without this it was still quite reasonably priced compared to other guest houses and hotels nearby. Lots of space to park and after 9pm there is a secure gate which guests can open with an electronic fob.

There was some kind of device (? air filter) wired above our bedroom door, and every half hour or so it would make a noise that sounded like an electronic garage door opening. It woke both of us each time it went off which would put me off staying in that room again. That said, I would most certainly stay in another room if returning to Galway as it was a very nice property with a lovely breakfast and free secure parking.

Very nice place to stay, with a very warm host. The breakfast is excellent and staff are very nice and accommodating. My room was clean and comfortable. What made the stay was the host who is a gentleman and very helpful.

The only drawback for me was the location being just a little far from town. It’s about 3.2k or a 40 minute walk.

We loved our overnight stay here! It was clean & comfortable. The location was beautiful & it was nice & quiet. The staff and owner were welcoming & helpful. We also had the breakfast and it was amazing!

It was quite far out from everything, which made it difficult without a car. But we did know this upon booking.

Small b and b that was away from the noise and hustle of downtown. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was amazing! Greatly appreciated the USB outlets! We were so glad we had a room with a balcony as we left our door open for the night to pull in cool air as the room was very warm.

Rooms- and especially bathrooms- need a little updating. Chairs were very uncomfortable and water pressure was so low it was hard to wash our hair.

Breakfast was the best on our 10 day trip.

Not much could be improved. But hot in the room, tried to prop the balcony door open for some fresh air but the wind kept catching it. Maybe add a hook on it?

It was in a great location to go for a walk down to the lake. Very close to Coffey Pub for a beer and pizza Was amazing that bed had sheets and a blanket instead of a big doona where you are either too hit or too cold.

Only thing maybe missing was not having a TV in the room.
