The position was great, very central and had a car park (not included but just opposite the entrance). The family room was big and spacious but the sofa bed for the kids had such a thin mattress that we had to put blankets and extra pillows underneath to make it possible to sleep. Anyway breakfast was great and I would highly recommend to have dinner at the Ember Restaurant. The chef was so kind and we had the best dinner there! Wonderful

Not up to standard particularly at breakfast, where little available to attend to requests. Had to ask for basic products like butter at the toasting station, coffee pot emptied with no staff to replenish .

Brilliant location right in middle of everything...2 mins to castle..canal walk..river..shops..lovely breakfast...nice surroundings..live music in the evening ..large comfy room with balcony. Orlando street car park right opposite..16.50 euros for 24 hours.

The rooms seem to hold a lot of heat, somehow, perhaps due to the thick (and nice) carpeting? The fan helped, as did the ability to open the window. Not sure there's an easy fix for this, but I imagine outside of summer this feature is actually really nice!

The breakfast was fabulous with a wide array of options. The beds were very comfortable. The bar and music on Friday night was excellent and made for a fun atmosphere. Staff were attentive, kind, and helpful!

We got a room with a bathtub, which was not something we expected but was a nice change of pace since that was not the case for most of our hotels when we visited Ireland. Close to lots of businesses and got a good recommendation on dinner with live music as this was one of our last nights on our trip.

The elevator was a bit temperamental.

Hands down it was the staff and the hotel. From the moment we entered the young lady behind the reception desk was helpful, well informed and funny. She was kind and (and patient) in answering our questions (hotel and non-hotel related). We ate at the Embers and found the wait staff warm and welcoming, good food, great service. We met the restaurant manager, and we talked about beers and whiskey and the hotel manager, stopped by our table and he was very entertaining as we talked about a variety of subjects including our experiences in Ireland (He was right about Spike Island). I then saw these two managers go around the room doing the same with the other guests, as well as jumping in, helping wherever their was something that needed doing, whether that was filling a water glass, clearing a plate or sharing a good story. I think a good manager doesn't work from the top down, or from an office, but working beside his/her coworkers not only doing what a manager has to do to run a hotel but supporting their staff, the people that have direct contact with the guests. I will say this about one other group that might not have direct contact with the public but sets the stage to making everyone look good and that is the cleaning crew, everything was in its place in our room and the lobby was immaculate. I told one lady that, as I watched her straighten and wipe down every corner of the space. It was all of these small, important parts of the whole that makes the time in a hotel a wonderful experience.

Nothing really. A small gripe but we wanted to watch The Lions V Australia rugby match on TV. We planned to watch it in the lounge/bar but they didn't have any Sports channels so we had to go out to one of the local bars. Not a major problem but would have preferred to watch it in the hotel.

Have stayed here before.Location is so central to everything, pubs, restaurants etc. Room was very comfortable, nice bed and pillows. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great breakfast, enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

The only negative was our bedroom was on the street facing.. very noisy when trying to sleep.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff professional and friendly. Super clean. Room was fabulous and bed very comfortable. All facilities were met. Atmosphere and ambiance very relaxing. Situated near every thing. Walking distance to all main attractions in City.

Breakfast could be a bit better, the was no yogurt the self service were not toped up The towels in the bathroom need to be replaced well used and very small was not a bathsheet.

Was clean,comfortable, and quiet nice music in the bar at night.
