How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Lack of hand rails in shower in room we stayed in. It was a family room. My husband is elderly & felt a bit insecure when getting his shower

Disappointed that there were no tea/ coffee making facilities / television in the room.
Walking distance to town. Enough parking spaces. Location on the river side.

All was as we expected.
A good location - quiet with a view over the river and close to sites like Ross Castle and Muckross House, Friendly staff, simple but comfortable rooms.

Good location. Twin room was cramped for two people. Beds were comfortable. The tiniest of shower. Staff gave us extra blankets and a heater so we stayed warm.

facilities in the room were very-old. Room looked like it had been forgotten about . They could do with some renovation. The toilet door does not close complete (sliding door) came off the sliding rack easily - only 2 pillows bed was uncomfortable. No tea/coffee kettle in room,

I requested tea and coffee in the room and there wasn’t any, hostess was really nice so we didn’t was to make an issue of it. An extra pillow in the room would be great.
Exceptionally clean, staff were lovely. Breakfast was very tasty and well cooked. Access to property easy and suited us as we were late back both nights

It's nothing fancy. The bathrooms are very small and their was no counter where you put things.
Great breakfast, clean rooms. The staff was very friendly. The rooms with three beds were perfect for our family.

Shower gel was practically solidified in the small bottle. Had to ask for a change of towels. No cereal was offered on the first day for breakfast (some packs were out of date). Small things but sloppy - need to attend to detail.
Staff friendly and helpful. Great location.

The rooms were very clean, staff was welcoming and friendly. The B&B is in a very good place in Killarney and easy to get to from town centre. Breakfast included in the price were delicious.

We ordered a room for three people and it was pretty cramped. If you have to put a double bed against a wall (so the inside person can't get out), it usually means the room is too small. This was the third place we stayed in Ireland, and it just wasn't up to the same standards as the others, even though it was in the same price range.
Staff was very friendly.

Perhaps a tea/coffee facilities in the room would of been nice.
Our host was very friendly & helpful. Ideal location, about 4/5 mins walk to the INEC and 10 mins from town centre. Very nice B&B. Bedroom was nice and big with a fine shower/bathroom. Breakfast was lovely, just the right amount. Id use the property again.

The b and b was very tired with poor bathroom facilities, low shower pressure, door not closing properly. Our room was supposedly a double but had 5 beds, more like a family room. No bedspreads, or tea and coffee in the room although the staff would get it for us.
Breakfast was good , cheery helpful staff. Location was also excellent and only a short walk into town.

Strict rules, I asked for 3 separate beds, but they dont have, so I have to pay the room for 5 people, because double beds are so small here in Ireland, its impossible have a good sleep on that bed for two. Every other place did gave extra bed.So they charged me extra and I couldnt cancelled reservation anymore withot a charge. It was cold,the heat didnt worked and a shower is with very low pressure.
