Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe kitchen, sitting room, and fridge were a bit small for our large group, but the couch was big enough for all the kids to sit on, and there were 4 high chairs at the island. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
2 large bedrooms with loads of beds. Enough for 9 kids to sleep in 1 room and the adults in the other. Very central. Beds were clean and comfortable. 2 toilets with showers in both. Couch was very comfortable. I was dealing with Ciara through messages, and she was very helpful.

IrelandThe fact my accommodation was changed to a location further away from the city centre prior to arriving although it was switched back after I made certain points clear, it caused unnecessary hassle

IrelandWhile the location was reasonably good, it wasn't as central as we had expected given the property's association with Lanigan's bar. The beds were comfortable but some of them were very close together. It wasn't a problem for our group, but could be for another.
As a stag group, this accommodation was perfect. It is reasonably well-located, near to several car parks and within a 10-minute walk of the town centre. It has plenty of beds, so the group could all stay in one place; it was clean; the two showers were excellent; and the member of staff we met was really good to deal with. Communication through Booking.com was also very quick, and we were offered complementary finger food in Lanigan's bar, though we had another booking so were unable to accept.

SpainIt was a bit hard to find. Once you know where it is, it’s a cinch but we didn’t get great instructions when we were checking in. One of the bathrooms has a less than ideal shower setup. The hosts could probably apply an easy fix to prevent water from getting out. We had no wifi throughout our stay. We reported it right away but the hosts didn’t really do anything proactive to solve the issue. They were mostly dumbfounded, even though it seemed like the password just needed to be reset. It was only a couple of days but kind of a nuisance.
It’s a very unique place. It has been fit to host large groups so there is loads of room for a family to spread out. It’s very centrally located, just steps from the castle and the river.

IrelandMissed having cooking facilities but I didn't read the exact facilities when I booked so thats my fault. Kettle, microwave and toaster so all was ok.
Location was perfect, 5 mins walk to everything. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and absolutely ideal for a large group sharing. The beds were big and super comfy. Staff were very responsive to any queries or requests. Great to deal with.

IrelandWas a little bit of a strange smell in the living area. Not sure what they used to clean the place but it left a lingering odor that was there all weekend. It did not make a difference to our stay, but we all commented on it.
The place was bigger and more modern looking than the pictures online. The fact that the 2 rooms had their own doors to outside was great. The outside area itself with the park bench was excellent. And the place was genuinely clean, easy to access and comfortable.
