Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Enjoy the perfect blend of town and nature at this ideal location between the heart of town and the breathtaking Killarney National Park. Local store and coffee spot a 2-minute walk away, and bike rentals only 5 minutes down the road. Spacious rooms, nice beds, good pillows, equipped kitchen bigger than looks like in pic's, parking if you have a car, wonderful hosts —perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I recommend!

Fix the heating in the living room. Could not regulate the temperature because it is broken. So only cold or hot remains Cleaning could be bit better (dirty sock under the bed, Water in the shower didn't flush due to very dirty faucet). Not a major issue but very easy to fix
Spacious three bedroom apartment. Living room is not huge but fits 5 people. Extra chair if there are six would be nice. Kitchen is adequate and you can even cook a mail or breakfast. Plenty of plates and cups etc. Cenbter of Killarney is 10 minute walk. Amazing!

Would love toiletries and more towels. A little hard to find with traffic. A larger sign would be helpful. The emails all said ‘Location, Location but the small dign in front of the building was t different. One identifiable name from the listing to the actual street is recommended.
The space and amenities. Nice for three adults to spread out a bit. 1.5 baths helpful too.

We enjoyed almost everting about it, with the exception of the road being very hectic and the people in another apartment building talking very loud at night!

When we arrived they had forgot to clean the appartment from previous people who stayed which was kind of frustrating because we were in a rush but it was a genuine mistake and we got it sorted.

Location was excellent , could walk into town without having to get taxi , the apartment was spotless and very spacious. Teabags and milk were there when we arrived which was much appreciated.

Late night noise from other apartment in the house. Appreciated the extra instructions to find the property and lock the front door.
Great place for group of friends. Double beds in 2 rooms a bit small for couples and duvets a bit hot but otherwise well equipped with on site parking so very easy.

Living room would have been too small if we were 6 people (we were only 4). It was a bit high in price, but may just be because Killarney is an expensive destination.

It was difficult to find the apartment as eircode doesn't bring you to the house and the house name is different.
Very clean and comfortable only 10minutes walk from Killarney town.
