How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was away from main accommodation. Could have done with a second chair and a small table . Footsteos in the room overhead were loud coud have done with more soundproof on the floors
Excellent dining , staff were friendly efficient and helpful. Locality very good close to bus stop, shops and hospitality venues .

Tiles in bathroom slippy
Accommodation excellent loved the king size bed & bathroom, food in Restaurant excellent, staff very friendly and great nites entertainment in Bar after dinner, would highly recommend, will definitely be telling my friends.

Perhaps better room facilities i.e. little room for storage and perhaps an extra chair but hey I realise most visitors are 'short stop' and don't really need that much.
Room great. Breakfast really good and very good value. Dinner was superb with lovely food and efficient friendly service.

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not live up to the standard of the hotel itself. The food was only average, the prices were high, and some of the staff seemed either unfriendly or overwhelmed. One young waiter even placed the plates down in a rather abrupt manner, which left a poor impression. Breakfast was also disappointing—far too expensive, with an extra charge for a second coffee.
We received a very warm welcome, and our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and centrally located. The hotel provided high-quality bathroom products, which added a nice touch. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we would definitely book here again.

Nothing needs to be improved.
We loved the extras in the room that were not highlighted on the website, ie. ironing board and iron, complimentary water each day along with tea, coffee etc. The selection of Rituals toiletries, re-stocked each day, hairdryer. Lovely spacious room, and the most comfy bed and pillows. The option to eat, breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a drink in the next door pub/restaurant, as and when. The accommodation which is an historical property which has been beautifully renovated. Ample free parking.

Room was at front of building and was very warm despite fan. Couldn’t open windows due to road noise.

We were there during a very hot spell and the room was hot--this won't usually be a problem!
Very large, well-appointed room, clean and nice. Good shower. Check-in was easy and the people were friendly.

The hotel is perfect... if we have to say anything would be: It's so warm right now (mid August) and the room was really hot, we only had one fan for the whole room and our room was massive, we were melting. Just a suggestion here, I would expect a mini fridge in the room for how expensive the rooms are, specially with how warm it is right now would have been nice to be able to keep drinks cold in the room.
They gave us a great room, with lots of space for my baby to run and play. The TV had open Netflix and YouTube which was perfect too. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and kind, always with s smile. The location couldn't be better. It's the best hotel in town.
