Reino Unido1 comentario“This is a great place to escape from everything. Thank you we would love to come back.”This was a great base for us to explore Clare. It was clean and comfortable. Great communication from our host straight after booking to arranging to meet us on arrival. You can hear and see the sea from the cottage and we had a great sunset on the nearest beach. There is so much to see in Clare that this is somewhere you sleep and then explore. Spanish Point is nearby with great food and views.

Irlanda19 comentarios3 votos útiles“A quaint 1970’s style cottage with 1970’s comforts”The toilet did not flush when we arrived but this was fixed, to an extent where the toilet was usable, after we reported it. There was only half of one toilet roll in the bathroom when we arrived but we had brought our own based on previous reviews. No shower gel and only small bath towels and 2 hand towels.House is cold, 15.5 degrees in mid July, it was warmer outside. Bed very dated and house is overpriced. Description says that there is a BBQ area which is true, but you need to bring your own BBQ. Communications were poor. Some weeks prior to arriving, we had sent a message on Booking to which we did not get a reply. Also we sent a message on the morning of our arrival to which we did not get a reply and had to call several hours later. Communications improved after arrival.
Very tranquil location approx. 600-800m from entrance to lovely quiet beach. Large sitting out area on the west side of the house, good when there is evening sun. We brought our dog and there was no additional charge and he had lots of space to sniff around the rear of the house.

Estados Unidos3 comentarios“The cost of the property was excessively priced for the quality relative to other properties in the area.”Upon arrival we had to vacuum dozens of spiders and cobwebs from all rooms and buy our own soap cleaning supplies. Owners walked in without knocking on us at least 3 separate times. This is a privacy and safety issue of greats concern. The step located between the kitchen and living room was not marked with yellow caution but it was high above door opening not in someone’s line of sight. Many of us tripped many times, and even fell. The bedroom ceiling appeared to have black substance most likely mold. Bed had to be moved away from wall to get into the bed. Heating system and hot water systems had no directions or warnings- which ended up with the owner scolding us out of anger due to not following the proper process that was needed. Shower also had no written directions how to use - which ended up with no hot water one day. The listing said a washing machine was available however when we arrived, the washing machine was broken.

The cottage is lovely, really well maintained and spotless. Sinead & David were so kind & couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed here for a festival on nearby and it was the ideal location.

Alemania46 comentarios3 votos útiles“Lovely old cottage”The cottage was getting up in years and seems not be used quite often. A lot of spider webs and the barhtup was broken. We wanted to live in a real irish cottage. But this cottage was really to expensive for what it is. The cottage is self service. We got toilet paper only on demand.
The owner are quite nice and live near by. We arrived very late and it was no problem. The cottage is lovely located and you have a great sea view while dish washing.

no breakfast - location ok
