How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Accommodation doors close with a bang. Reception area like a kindergarten.

Really friendly staff. Highly impressed with how efficient the bar staff and wait staff were on a busy Saturday evening. No one was waiting long for service. Nice room with plenty of space. Onsite parking.

A fridge in the room would have been convenient, as would a safe. These two items should be standard nowadays at a hotel of this rating. Occasional loud noise from children running around in the corridors or the room above. The room was quite warm, we were just about ok with the one small fan provided but would have been more comfortable with air conditioning or just a second or a larger fan. The double bed is quite small, my husband fell out while turning over and hit his head on the bedside shelf. We went to the restaurant one evening but found it loud and echoey so had a drink instead then went elsewhere to eat. Despite these niggles we would absolutely stay here again for the friendly staff and the convenience.
Very easy to find and ample parking, exceptionally friendly receptionists and fast check in and check out. The room was clean and very large, and we appreciated the wide range of TV channels available! Our room overlooked an inner courtyard so generally was very quiet. Superb location for visiting the Midleton Distillery and the main street of Midleton which has a large selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, plus some nice little shops. Lots of leaflets in reception for local activities and places to visit, a great resource for visitors unfamiliar with the area. A special mention for Dave the young barman who displayed great people and bar skills and who - note to management here - deserves a trip to the Midleton Distillery to enhance his product knowledge as he is keen to know more!

Only problem was rooms were very warm, fan in room was an added bonus , I know hotel can't control weather but would have a better night's sleep if the room was cooler as the beds were very comfortable

No air con in the bedroom, but there was a fan in the room.

One of the windows in the room wouldn’t open. No safe in the room. No body lotion provided (shampoo, shower gel etc was there)
Staff were lovely (especially Olena at breakfast who really helped me navigate gluten free options at breakfast and Rachel who helped us plan a traffic free route through a neighboring town)

The pool was more catered to people doing lengths it was hard for my little girl to play/swim.
Staff were very helpful, restaurant was fab and the room was lovely and comfy.

The room is not air conditioned, no refrigerator where visitor can store some drinks and foods. It will be much better if bath robes and slippers are provided in the room.
The hotel has easy accessibility to the bus. The location is quiet. Nice place to stay and relax. Food is satisfying. The facilities like indoor pool are great.

With bus stops outside the hotel we didn't need our car to get to the city. Loved the hotel atmosphere, cleanliness and friendly helpful staff. Our room was very spacious and thoughtfully set up.
