Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandCan't say there was anything I didn't like. Oh one thing, If you're in cottage 3, just be careful driving out on the road, especially if you're turning left.
Loved the hot tub and sauna. It is in a nice quiet location, and Dolores is a brilliant hostess who was always ready to help with anything at any time, a lovely person. Really enjoyed our stay and we will return again next year, PG. PS. The couches were soooo comfy, I almost slept on them, same for the beds.

United Kingdomnothing, everything was great
Host was brilliant, explained the settings for the heat, hot tub and the TV. Also extremely knowledgeable about things to do in the area, and to recommend a number of great businesses to visit for food etc.. based on different budget ranges. Extremely welcoming and nothing was any bother, as we did message a few times about some visitor attractions and places to eat out. We loved the location, the facilities and the friendly welcome. We will definitely book again.

IrelandHouses are well appointed, Showing minor wear and tear, here and there, but nothing that would impact your stay. Rural location means that you will absolutely need a car, but this is an observation rather than a problem.
Three cottages beside each other to suit an extended family group. Each had thee bedrooms and two bathrooms, (one ensuite) and an extra toilet. Host nearby came by to explain use of equipment Kitchen, TV, Hot-tub, Sauna (1 x house only) for our group the hot-tubs in two of the houses was a big plus. Infra-red sauna at one house also enjoyed. Donegal is spectacularly beautiful, and there are sights to visit in all directions within 20 to 30 minutes

IrelandNothing really to mention as we enjoyed our stay. Maybe for those unfamiliar with the area, you definitely need a car.
Loved the kids play castle and the two beautiful horses poking their heads over the fence. House was very comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen, plus a washing machine and dryer. Fuel for the sitting room fire was also provided. Lidl was a 10min drive away and open until 9 or 10pm. Host is friendly and delivered on her promised links for the places she recommended.

IrelandWe didn't have any complaints
Very peaceful location with nice, clean rooms. Perfect location for a family break. We hired two cottages including the magnificent hot tub. That was the icing on the cake for us. Everyone enjoyed relaxing and listening to music in the hot tub. The owners, Danny and Dolores were amazing and provided us with lots of tips about eating out or eating in using delivery service. We will definitely come back here again

BrazilThe house is great, very clean, warm and the kitchen has everything you need. Dolores was amazing having the fire and the heating on before we arrived and showing us plenty of options for food and things to do around the area. By chance we also met her husband at the farm and he was great too. Overall a lovely experience.

United KingdomDidn’t find the donkeys but there was others down the road, maybe was the same ones 🤔😂😂 no nothing to complain about
Ok it’s a little off the beaten path up a lane type road but it’s just so peaceful without feeling totally alone, spotless and hosts were amazing. Everything felt like being on holiday but with comforts of home. Beds were super comfortable, rooms spacious and homely, plenty of sockets to have chargers. WiFi perfect and so many tv channels you’d need be very picky to find anything to moan about. Hot tub was so nice, perfect temperature and very relaxing, being a long bugger I rarely fit in a bath but I’d say you could get four lanky aul fellas in there and not play footsie 😆 well equipped and everything really we needed. Only thing we did buy was silver foil which you’d not expect to be provided anyway oh and kitchen roll but then we do like to be clean and tidy and treat accommodation like we would at home. Washing machine and tumble dryer very handy to rinse out swimming costumes after the hot tub, dunno how to use a dishwasher I am fully trained in using a sink but there is one if you can’t use fairy liquid and hot water. Slept so well I’d go back without a thought, superb 👌

United KingdomVery comfy house, well equipped kitchen. As my parent are elderly the downstairs double room with an ensuite was ideal. The views were also lovely and the cottage was easy to get to as well. We will be back for sure, There are 3 cottages on site so great location for a large family special occassion.
Dorr was open when we arrived and Dolores had put the heating on to take the chill out. Dolores arrived a few minutes later to show us how to use the heating and TV etc. Super friendly and welcoming.
