Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere certainly wasn't much to dislike. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped.
A lovely place to stay just north of Dublin; hosts Gillian and Paschal were most friendly, warm and helpful. I recommend Mount Barker 100%.

New ZealandFor a three day stay would have liked a change of towels. We realise that daily change of towels is seemingly not a guest expectation in England and Ireland but it would add to guest satisfaction.
Great communication before and during our stay. Gillian and Paschal clearly love what they are doing and quite rightly are very proud of their property. Spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely communal lounge and kitchen. Very comfortable beds and great shower. Lovely fluffy towels freshly laundered. Quiet despite being on busy road Driving distance to Swords and Malahide Excellent safe parking (Access to road can be a bit hairy as it is extremely busy but we managed)

Czech RepublicEverything was absolutely perfect. Large, spotlessly clean and comfy room, great breakfast, amazing shared dining room, living room and kitchen. Great location only 10 minutes from airport and 25 minutes from Dublin. Very lovely host, gave us great tips for our travels. Overall, one of the best accommodations we ever had.

United KingdomNothing.
The new concept of a shared kitchen with your own fridge and food so that you weren't consigned to set times for breakfast. You could help yourself whenever you decided to get up. Gillian & Pascal are excellent hosts and the room was very clean and comfy. Also great location, close to Airport and just off the motorway.

GermanyNot a downside, but the apartment entrace faces directly towards sideway of a highway and it was just a little hard to find, especially when arriving for the first time at night - also we got out of wrong highway exit two times in a row. Though once you get used to Irish highway system, it gets easier.
We stayed at this lodge-style hotel for three nights as our base for visiting Dublin and surroundings. The host couple was very friendly and helpful, we were welcomed by large, well-equipped kitchen with small fridge dedicated for each room, filled with lots of breads and irish butter, drinks (milk and juice), fresh eggs and some snacks for on the way. Cereals and coffee/tea also available. Nicely decorated shared dining room. Although the apartment is located right next to an highway, it was always quiet. The bedroom was compact and comfy. Would love to come back again!

United KingdomThe only thing I would suggest is that (to save any potential waste) you have a bread bin so everyone can share (and not have your own loaf which you may not use it all)
Well organised, you have your own fridge and you basically help yourself. Have what you want. Nice touch as I had a piece of toast one evening.

United KingdomIf I had to say anything, just one little tiny detail, we would've liked a larger bath sheet.
Stunning room, felt like home straight away. Gillian was the best host very accommodating. Once you arrive, you receive a gorgeous breakfast welcome pack in your personal numbered fridge that's a lovely touch, use of beautiful kitchen ( if in the mood to cook), and a well thought out inviting dining area. Very helpful and informative folder in the bedroom to point you in the right direction to Dublin and other places. Beautiful room and fabulous bathroom, shower to die for. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

United StatesOne area of driveway has bit of a water puddle to avoid or have to drive through. Entering and leaving property from a busy street is a bit challenging, but not readily changeable, just something to be aware of, especially for foreign travelers less comfortable with left hand side driving.
Very convenient location relative to airport and other suburbs (Malahide). Very conscientious and helpful hostess and super clean, extremely well thought out details. Personal cubbies for our individual guest usage was a great feature (refrigerator, cabinet, shoe storage...). Beautiful home.
