Hosts were very welcoming & friendly. Great breakfast choices, mix of hot & cold options, the mini cooked breakfast was perfect for me. Black pudding a highlight. Easy walking distance into Kilarney. Lovely lounge areas & plants.

Our stay at Old Weir was fantastic! This property is on the edge of town - and a really nice walk to all of the main shops and attractions. We parked the car and walked! The property felt German to me - lots of wood and very cozy. Our room was beautiful with a nice large room and bed and en suite. We had plenty of room to relax with two chairs and a large TV. My favorite each morning was the free breakfast. The food is served buffet style, with coffee or tea brought to your table. But in addition, you can order off the menu for entrée items - all included. Not having to worry about how we are going to get breakfast before our day begins was really nice. Our next time in Killarney - we will for sure stay at Old Weir Lodge!

Great location, walkable to downtown Killarney restaurants and pubs. Staff made great recommendations for dinner, local music and visiting the Ring of Kerry sites. The breakfast was excellent with cereals and made to order hot food options.

Nice place to stay. Not fare away from the lovely town center. We enjoyed the wark through the gap of dunloe.

Couldn’t open window at night - felt smelly and damp. Had mould in bathroom which was removed quickly.

Great location. Very helpful staff. Excellent beeakfast. Special shout out for great sightseeing advice from the owner and also from Moira the bubbly delight who works the breakfast with incredible efficiency and enthusiasm.

We had an issue one morning with both the shower and the sink stopper. Promptly and successfully resolved by the staff.

Niall the host and his staff are welcoming, pleasant helpful and informative. The room was spacious and warm the location was spot on close to town, racecourse and attractions. Breakfast was varied and very tasty.

I honeastly cannot list a single thing

The staff was wonderful, the triple-room was ample for 3 people, and the breakfast was outstanding. There were restaurants and a convenience store/gas station within 200 yards. We needed to do some laundry and found a small laundromat at the convenience store.

The downside of this property was a lack of air-conditioning, It was not a good choice for late July, when the temperatures were high. It was not a real problem for us, but it is a good 15-minute walk to the main shopping and restaurant area. That can be a positive as well as a negative.

Location was great for visiting Killarney area. 10min walk to restaurants and short drives to surrounding areas. Host was very accommodating with a packed breakfast one morning when we were heading out before 8am. Super friendly and easy. Lift available which was a plus.

Could have used an oscillating fan to keep air moving. No AC.

Warm welcome on arrival, good service at breakfast, spacious public areas, excellent bedroom which has clearly been designed and laid out by someone who know what guests actually need, which puts this hotel well ahead of many others. We felt that the whole hotel is being run by a professional, experienced family who how to make guests feel valued. We have no hesitation in staying at the Old Weir Lodge again.
