The proprietors were very welcoming and helpful. There was a microwave for heating food and breakfast was terrific.

The location of the Olde Castle was beautiful with a stunning view of the waterfront.

We loved staying at this hotel for one night, we wished we could have stayed two. The hotel owner is the sweetest person we've met on our entire trip, she makes you feel special. Excellent breakfast, wonderful location. Even if you don't stay at the Olde Castle, it's worth a look if you take the Wild Atlantic Way. Hosts are really kind, we will definitely recommend this place!

We were very tired when we arrived and warmth of the arrival and the comfort of the room and homeliness the wonderful location was just balm for us all. So grateful.

Rooms were a good size and very comfortable. Staff were delightful and the breakfast was delicious 😋 It was nice to be able to read in the sitting room.

Shower pressure was a joke. Barely a dribble of water. Thank goodness I didn't need to wash my hair.

Beautiful location right next to the sea, absolutely quiet, sheep and cattle pastures right next to the house…. Very nice people working there and a good choice of breakfast options, served in a cosy room witj sea view.

It is quite a drive from Galway or anywhere else, but if you want to tour Connemara it’s perfect. Everything is getting a bit old and slightly run down, but it’s spotlessly clean.

The position, the staff, the breakfast… and Barbara!

First of all, the location of this lodge is just breathtaking. The moment you arrive, you feel so peaceful. It's an old family house, with beautiful surroundings. The room was confortable, and the breakfast all you can ask for.

The shower option was to sit in the bath, so not really easy when you're tall, but that was not such a big deal. Maybe the only concern was the hot shower didn't last very long.

Room was tiny, with two twin beds instead of a double/queen bed, despite our booking as a couple. Bathroom is also quite small, and the shower had low water pressure. Overall, the house has a great soul, but most of the rooms need refurbishment.

Loved everything about this B&B! The staff was super friendly, the view was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was very comfortable. There was access to a small fridge for guests as well. I hope I get to come stay here again some day!

The closest place to eat dinner was about an 8 minute drive, but worth the trade for the quiet and the view!

Amazing location! Felt very welcome and well looked after. Was sad to leave. We travelled all around the west of Ireland staying at different locations and the older castle B&B was by far our favourite stay.

WiFi was a little slow but didn’t need it!

Wonderful place. An ocean view B&B nearby a XV century watchtower used to keep an eye out for incoming pirates. Add a delicious breakfast and a kind, cozy owner… bingo!
