We were only there for a short time 21.00hrs until 0700hrs the following day. But the accommadation was clean and comfortable. Facilities were good. We were able to prepare food for ourselves in the kitchen which hosted a fridge freezer, microwave and more than adequate cutlery and dishes.

We were in a shared room for 3 people and the coffee and tea was only adequate for one of each for each person. There was a notice inviting us to phone the owner if we needed anything but as we were there lay, we decided that wasn’t fair. From our point of view it would have been nice to have had more sachets supplied.

    Property response:

Hi Margaret, thanks for your lovely review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Apologies about the tea and coffee, there are usually at least 2 a piece per person of tea coffee biscuits etc. We have lots of spares by the kettle in the dining room should you ever need them on a return visit. Best wishes Richard

Convenient location for a late night ferry arrival in the harbour. It was very easy to find the property and we were able to access the property via a code to the key box. Room 2 had 5 beds, divided over two rooms and one bathroom, spacious enough for our family of 4. The owner was very friendly. There's a front room and a kitchen/breakfast room for communal use.

Location for an early morning ferry trip was great - 5 mins to the port. Room were clean - bed was very comfortable. Free on site parking. Ease of access - keys in key box and communication. Very good for our purposes as a bed for the night before travelling.

Close to the ferry. Instructions for getting the keys were accurate and worked. Charging multiple point on bedside table. The chickens

Coffee could have been better, nothing wakes you up like a poor cup of coffee. Towels were coarse and dark grey, difficult to assess if they were clean Inormation booklet had inaccurate information about where to eat (Cushens does not serve food Monday or Tuesday) Drab - too masculine. Needs a woman's touch

    Property response:

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your review & feedback. I’m pleased you were able to enjoy most aspects of your stay close to the ferry. In regards to price, we are the most economical guest house in the area of Rosslare Harbour. The towels are new bath sheets. You can clearly see (and smell) that all laundry is extremely clean and laundered after every stay. We have had these towels over the last year or more and have had very good feedback on size, quality and colour. We are sorry that they are not to your taste. Our coffee is the standard Nescafe sachets that the vast majority of accommodation’s stock (unless you went to a 5* hotel). Again, this is down to individual taste. Regarding the information booklet, we do not list opening dates and times for eating establishments. It would be impossible to keep up with ever changing details of each individual place and we are merely giving local information on what options are out there. Our guest house is clean and tidy with clean lines and a neutral decor to cater for all of our guests. It may not be to your taste but we get consistent feedback from guests who have been coming to us again and again who love our rooms and accommodation and what we offer here. Overall, we feel your low score of 4 is quite harsh and pernickety but wish you the best for the rest of your travels. Regards Richard

Country location was nice. Stairs to upper floor were a bit narrow, bit the room and bathroom were quaint. We did not utilize the joined kitchen area with other guests, although it was available.
