Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThere was nothing we didnt love about it, just absolutely perfect,
So what we needed! A 2 day break away from all the noise of busy life, beautiful cottage, everything we needed was to hand, gorgeous scenery around us, a stove fire which was all set up for us when we arrived with turf and logs all we needed to do was put a match on it to light, wifi in the cottage, lovely cosy bed, we were able to bring our dog with us too which was a huge plus, the hosts are very friendly and so helpful, we thought of checking if it was available for another night but unfortunately we had commitments to get home for, however we will be going back just so relaxing and peaceful thank you Conor and Des 😁

NetherlandsConor, the host. Due to sad circumstances, regarding his wife, the house wasn't as clean as usual. Even though, he had already hired a cleaning companie, that unfortunately didn't do a very good job. Because of our complaint about this, Conor offered to give us our money back and het did. That was extremely kind of him. So by now the house will again be spotless and cosy. It is very spacious and lies very private in a beautiful surroundings.

IrelandThought everything was great.
Great location, perfect for the relaxed getaway we were hoping for (loads of lovely walks near the area and further out too). Conor was very helpful and easy to reach. We were even allowed to checkout later as there was no one staying that night. We both felt very welcome and it was great to be able to bring our pup with us too. I think a few reviews said that there was no signal/WiFi but WiFi has actually been installed since then. We didn't use it for streaming or anything like that so I don't know if it would be very fast but it did the trick for what we needed. House was very warm, must be well insulated, and the stove was lovely - logs & turf were provided by the host and we were told there was more available if we needed it. Kitchen was well kitted out & we didn't feel like anything was missing. Would definitely go back if we were going down that part of the country again 😊

AustraliaOnly as above, an explanation before booking about the fireplace and hot water would have been useful. Probably still would have booked as it’s a quiet, peaceful rural setting we were after.
So for a country weekend escape this could be the place you’re looking for. It’s in the countryside, it’s a lovely little cottage and the host has it well stocked up to keep you warm with the fire. Plenty of room, comfortable bed, quiet and peaceful. After arriving early evening and finding no matches to light the fire, we rang the host who apologised for his oops mistake and dropped matches over within the hour. Thanks and well done. Unfortunately we didn’t realise or read anywhere that electrical timers plus the fire (very important) make the shower water hot. This made for quite late showers and not that hot the first night. We did better the second night but as we were out being tourists and exploring and doing a lot of walking, returning and having to wait for the hot water to really kick in wasn’t ideal. If you understand this and except it’s a country experience then you’ll enjoy Pat Tadys.

I Arrived late in a rainy night, and accidentally slept in the wrong cabin. Next day when I went hiking, I got a call from the host. He called over to ask if everything was fine cause he saw that the keys were still on the same place. Luckely he didn't mind i slept in the wrong house. Such caring peolple, and a lovely stay.

IrelandWe thought the place was great and would stay again! But be aware that the internet coverage in the area is zero
Lovely little cottage tucked away in the quiet countryside. We were very happy relaxing here beside the fire, taking the short drive to Manorhamilton and the surrounding beautiful countryside. The place is clean and cosy, the room was modern and fresh. The kitchen had all the basics for cooking for ones self. And there was plenty of fuel to keep the fire burning for a couple of days!

IrelandThe only thing we could fault at The time was the weather. Typical Ireland.
Had a really comfortable stay here in the cottage. Such a lovely quiet area. The cottage was lovely. No TV or wifi but that didn't matter. It was just what we wanted. Lovely towns and villages short car journey away. There were lovely walks and scenic views of the valleys and waterfalls. Really had a nice time.

IrelandStayed in pat tadys from 18th November until the 21st.... Conor had the fire lit for us on arrival, plenty of logs and turf for the fire to keep us warm. 2 bathrooms in the cottage was ideal....no internet is available which was actually quite nice to get away from technology for a few days.... plenty of plugs and sockets all the same if you do need to bring anything...towels and soap and shampoo were left to us also....with regards to location, it suited us to stay here to incorporate all the sightseeing and hiking we wanted to fit in... benbulin was only 35 mins away... glencar lough and waterfall was only 20, eagles rock was 40, so plenty to see and do for all the nature enthusiasts, We did not go out dining or drinking but manorhamilton seem to have a slight buzz going about it... we stopped off at supervalue in the town and could not fault it.... i am looking forward to our next visit to pat tadys Orla from kilkenny
