How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Minor complaint, it's quite noisy. Not from being on the main street but the accommodation upstairs. You can hear every movement which made it difficult to drift off! Otherwise, it still is 5/5
The accommodation is incredible in terms of location, spacious in size, cleanliness, thoughtfulness gone into your arrival etc.... 5/5. Fabulous and looking forward to recommending it to friends.

Nothing really. In a perfect world a view would have topped it off.
Location and facilities absolutely fabulous. Such a fun and cosy place to stay right in the centre of Roundstone. Really well equipped kitchen too. Exceptionally comfortable bed, thank you.

Absolutely no complaints at all.
One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. The host has thought of everything you could need, The comfort and facilities were first class and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The village has pubs, shops and cafes and is right on the beautiful Connemara coast with stunning mountains all around. Plenty of parking even on a busy bank holiday weekend.

Everything was really good. Would have loved a ocean view

Only issue is that there are no views except onto the street. Beautiful village and harbour 20 meters away though.
The property is exceptionally fitted out and super comfortable. Everything we needed was to hand. Beautiful everything. Shop next door, bars and restaurants 20 metrs away. Lovely quiet village.

As it’s on the street you will have some noise but it’s pretty quiet in general.
Very well appointed and comfortable. Great location. Very spacious for 2.

Welcoming apartment, very well-equipped, in a beautiful village right by the water. This was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Perfect place for a short- or long-term stay. We were here for ten days and explored the region and absolutely loved it.

The back of the apartment is a little dark but very cosy at night.
This is a lovely apartment in a friendly and picturesque fishing village with great pubs and lots to do on the doorstep. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was huge and super-comfortable. We stayed for one night and wished we had longer. Maurice is a friendly host who left us welcoming scones and jam. We would highly recommend.

That we couldn't stay longer.
An absolute hidden gem along the coast! The unit was easy to find and instructions to enter were easy to follow. The apartment is large with plenty of space to spread out. The washer and dryer were exactly what we needed at that point in our travels. The kitchen is well appointed, the lounge area comfortable and perfect for spreading out and relaxing, the beds comfortable, lots of hot water with good pressure in the shower. Two good pubs nearby for dinner and a convenience store with everything needed next door.

Bathroom was quite cold when showering. All other rooms were comfortable.
Off season….the shops that we came to visit were not open….disappointing. That was not at all the fault of the apartment owner however. We did go to the nearby castle for dinner….that is a definite must see!!
