Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We had an amazing stay! The location is truly perfect, right along the Wild Atlantic Way, with breathtaking views that you’ll never forget. A great spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the area. A big thank you to Breege for providing us with plenty of food for breakfast—it was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that made us feel really welcome. Highly recommended!

IrelandThe weather, unfortunately. All good otherwise. The hot water tap in the ensuite needs a bit of attention because you need to make sure that you give a good twist when turning it off as I thought it was turned off but there's a drip which if you weren't aware of it, it would waste hot water. I used a face cloth to give a good twist when turning it off.
Breege & her daughter are lovely, friendly, attentive hosts. The room is large, airy, spotless with spectacular sea views. You go to sleep & awaken to the sound of the sea. The electric shower has a really strong water flow which is brilliant. Good quality towels are provided also. In the separate lounge/dining area, the fridge is really helpful because you can bring all you need & keep it fresh. There are some basics available, milk, juice, yoghurt, cheese, butter etc. Plus the microwave means you can cook or heat up simple meals. You also have a toaster & kettle with all the cutlery etc you need in the lounging/dining area which also has spectacular views, plus a TV. Dining out is available in Killala & there's a lovely little cafe & a bakery in Ballycastle if you're going to visit The Ceide Fields, which also has a cafe. I recommend the guided tour there. There's also Bessie's Bar quite near the property, though they don't serve food; it's overlooking the sea as well. In terms of directions, the property is in off the Killala to Kilcummin road. It's only about 10/15 minutes from Killala. There's a hand painted white/blue sign saying Seaview on the wall as you enter the property which is helpful. There's a lovely friendly doggy as well.

Lovely large and cosy room with ensuite bathroom and the use of comfortable large sitting area with nice views. Complimentary coffee and toast for breakfast set us up well for the next day. NetherlandsThe description doesn't include breakfast, but breakfast is included, which was nice to have. But I guess I would have preferred if breakfast was officially included and had more options, i.e. more than just butter and jam to put on the bread. Also, it's a little thing but the bathroom really needs a rail to hang towels on.
A very big room with beautiful views. Plus a big common space where I could sit and work with a beautiful view of the sea outside.

IrelandThe host, Breege, was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rural setting close to the local beach was unique in its own way..." to the beach through the fields." Ideally situated to explore the North Mayo coast. Killala, Kilcummin, Ballycastle, Downpatrick head, Ceide Fields, Belmullet etc.
