Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineYou should follow Google direction as instructions about how to get can be a bit confusing. Bring anti-mosquito spays with you as in the evening there is a swarm of midges outside even when the firewood burning. The bush closes nice view out to the mountain. But in overall we enjoyed the place.
A perfect property for the group of people. Close enough from the beach for good price with all necessary for barbecue and evenings outside to spot night sky.

SpainThe Bungalow is very far from the main street so transport is required. Taxi numbers were provided by the host and it cost €15 each way to get into town.... The house is very dated but it has everything you need...
The Bungalow is in a beautiful setting in falcarragh old town. It's so peaceful. The host was very good at getting back to me with information when I requested it.

United KingdomI have previously stayed at Shalom before, it is a cosy donegal cottage, love the old style setting. The house is spotless and has everything you need. The garden is beautiful with amazing Mountain View’s and a great bbq hut at the side of the garden facing the mountains. It is a peaceful location. The host was excellent at communicating all the necessary information clearly. She was very responsive and making communication very easy.

United KingdomWhen entering the bungalow there was a musty stale smell. The bathroom had a small pile of dirt that hadn't been lifted after sweeping. The bedroom with the single bed smelt really bad. The back bedroom had hairs in the bed, a crisp and cotton bud on the floor. We were unable to work the heating. Due to all of this we decided not to stay and left at 11pm to drive home.
The location was ideal

IrelandPlace wasn’t cleaned at all, bathroom was dirty, fire place was over filled with ashes so had to clean ourselves, not even vacuumed, tried to find the best room to sleep but both double beds were squeaky and not comfy at all, place really need a deep cleaning , is very old and the amount of plug in air fresheners left around made the house smell worse and didn’t cover the stale smell
The bed sheets were clean and house was warm, good correspondence with host

IrelandThere were stains on the carpet, we found a container that looked like dried blood and Cathy informed us that builders would be doing construction behind the bungalow the night we checked in - she will say that she communicated clearly 2 days beforehand but she only mentioned to park to the side as there was work going on - not that the builders would actually be there from 8am to 5pm everyday over Easter weekend!!! The place felt so creepy that we left after only a few hours and checked into a B&B for the rest of our time in Donegal. Cathy was passive aggressive in her text messages and very unreasonable. We received no refund even though the above was all mentioned and we let her know that we didn’t stay in the bungalow on the morning of the second day of the booking. If I could rate this place 0 then I would.

United KingdomThe house wasn’t very clean on arrival. Stains on the carpet, hairs in the shower and no duvet cover on one of the beds. The location of the house is not as advertised either, luckily we had a car as if we had gotten the bus and been dropped off in the town it was a 45 minute walk. Also have been accused of leaving the house in a bad state because we left some rubbish there, in every other place I have stayed somebody collects your rubbish at the end.
