Kerry was a great host. Checking us in at around 8.30pm. The accomodation was very well presented. (2) rooms with ensuites adjoining a common area “Hadyns Bar” between rooms which provided privacy. Excellent facilities of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks at modest prices on an honesty system. Light breakfast was also provided in the way of Toast, Cereals, Yoghurt and Fresh milk. 🙂. Tea and coffee also. Haydns bar had TV, pool table and dart board. The property is in a semi pastoral area, well positioned, a short distance from the township where there is a few eating places and a LIDL supermarket.

Kerry was an exceptional host. Friendly, helpful, went out of his way to drive us to a wedding venue and all round lovely chap. Definitely recommend a stay there and if we’re ever back in the area, we will be back.

We were really happy that we chose to stay here! The owner (Kerry) is super friendly and the communication was very clear, it was very easy to find the accommodation. Located in a beautiful and well kept property, the room was very comfortable and with a nice bathroom. The room is located in a building separate from the owners house providing a lot of privacy. There’s also a kitchen/lounge in said building (coffee, tea, toast available for guests). Will come back again!

😀=Everything was apsolutly perfect. It was the best little apartment I have stayed in in my life. They had a bar and games room between two apartments in a converted stables, in fantastic surroundings. We hadn’t booked breakfast with our stay, but cereal and tea/coffee and toast were available if required, which was a nice touch. There was a TV, pool table and dart board in the bar, however I unfortunately I didn’t manage to win at darts before I went home 🙁 But I did win some games of pool 😀 Loved the stay, and will definitely come back 🥰 Written by Leah (aged 11) 💖

Absolutely nothing. You couldn't fault Clara Lodge.

We absolutely loved our stay at Clara Lodge & are planning to go back! Our room was absolutely gorgeous & so clean. Everything looked new! The bonus of having the games room next door & mini kitchen was a lovely surprise! They even offer an honesty bar! Kerry the host is a real character! The communication from him from we first booked was excellent. Nothing is a problem for him. His directions were spot on. Nearby is a variety of lovely places to eat. Lock 13 was amazing. Takeaway menus supplied by Kerry & also available on the Just Eat all. Free WiFi & access to Netflix etc on the tv in the games room are all made available by Kerry. My husband said we aren't to tell anyone about Clara Lodge as we might find it harder to get booked in ourselves! There are two guest rooms available & Kerry kindly showed us the second one which was just as lovely as ours. The bar/kitchen/games room is in between the two rooms. You have to see it for yourself! Photos don't do it justice! There was everything we needed at no extra cost for a breakfast of cereal, toast & yoghurt. Tea & coffee etc also included. And what's not to like about an honesty bar! Thank you so much Kerry for this fabulous set up and your hospitality & craic! We will definitely be back soon!
