Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandEarly check out. A significant section of the hostel is a permanent home to families. I felt like I was intruding in their home and it took away my holiday atmosphere. This would impact on my staying again.
Nice clean room. Private bathroom, quiet. Several other families were staying also. Pool table and several other games, books, separate TV room, outdoor tables, swing. Full kitchen with lots of space for cooking and storage of food. Well set up. Staff were welcoming. Great value for money.. Good choice for an overnight on your travels.

NetherlandsSmoking on the premises was formally not allowed but did happen frequently. Especially when the windows were open this was a bit discomforting.
Plenty of room: kitchen, living room, dining area, hallway, game room. Nice garden.

Germanyfor 75 Euro sleeping in a mixed 8 oder 10 bedroom dorm from Saturday to Sunday, plug ins are not beside every bed, one foot towel for 8 to 10 persons, just bunk beds, chairs and sitting facilities. the beds do not boast a own curtain or plug-in or light for the bed you occupy (some hostels have this), one light for all and some plug ins. Some times it could take time to get a staff, even if you ring the bell.
nice dining area, fridge for storage available, free tea and coffee, very helpful staff, nice garden, nice interior, quiet place

NetherlandsThe doors slam pretty loud so i could hear other rooms doors slamming quite late which was a bit annoying. Also there was no close external toilets to the room only one in the room which in a 10 person room could get a bit annoying.
The facilities are really good and the location is perfect within a small town but close to the cliffs.

AustraliaNearly every place we have stayed in do not have plugs for the kitchen sinks. Same for this place, although well equiped the kitchen will need some work soon as it is starting to look a bit tired.
This was a nice hostel, clean and tidy, we were in a mixed dorm, beds were good. Kitchen well equiped, Car parking easy and close to town. We liked it.

United StatesThe fact that a shared room has to be kept dark if you get up early
I had a mixed room, meaning it was shared with people of both sexes, with bunk beds. I had not been in a hostel for years, but had no choice, as other places were booked. It turned out to be a very friendly group, and everyone was very polite about sharing accommodations. I expected mostly college students, but most guests were in their thirties and were simply looking to save money. The only one who may have been a problem in sharing a room was me. I had to get up at 6 to catch a taxi to the airport. I had to do it in the dark, dressing and finishing packing in the bathroom in order not to disturb others, and I made more noise than I wanted. The bunk bed was very comfortable with a nice quilt that I could wrap up in. Staff were mostly Ukranian refugees, who have been housed in Lisdonvarna. English was limited, but they went out of their way to be helpful.

IrelandThe ONLY negative was that I am 6ft1 inches tall and I was just too tall for the bed, as my head was touching the bars but so were my feet.
This was a 10/10 hostel and it was such a lovely hostel. The location was amazing and it was very pretty. The person on reception was very friendly and lent me a hairdryer.

Overall, clean, and good for a one night stay. It’s about 15 minutes drive from Moher, a pub for dinner is located 3 minutes away (walking). The lady at reception had already prepared keys and everything, so check in was very smooth and quick
