Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalCould have been a bit cleaner and the breakfast could’ve had more variety. I would still stay there again though.
It was easy to get to and from Galway Center and the Prom. Host was great, had a lot of recommendations Beautiful building down a quiet driveway and close to a bus stop. Taxi ride to town was about 12€.

SpainWe had a great stay at this accommodation in Galway. The place was very clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. One of the big pluses was the free private parking, which made things much easier since we had a car. The location is also very convenient — you can either walk to the city center or take public transport, depending on your preference. It's close enough to enjoy everything Galway has to offer without being in a noisy area. Breakfast was self-service, with a nice selection: yoghurts, juice, toast with ham and cheese, butter, jams, tea, and coffee. It was simple but more than enough to start the day. The host was fantastic and gave us plenty of great recommendations for pubs and restaurants in the city, which really helped us make the most of our visit.

FranceMichael is a very nice host, providing very good advices. The location is quite, not close from the city center but 20 min by walk from Salthill, beautiful area with pubs and restaurants. The small breakfast included is enough to start the day.

United StatesNo real complaints about the property. If I had one wish it would be for the driveway entrance off of Taylor’s Hill Rd to have some kind of curved mirror to look at when pulling my car onto the road. It’s a blind turn and cars whip around the corner there. That being said, most folks drive slow in the area on account of the narrow streets.
It’s a beautiful house located in the Salthill area. Quiet and comfortable, but close enough to my activities in the old town that I ended up walking everywhere.

United KingdomOur room was a little tired in terms of decoration, though it was extremely clean and comfortable. We understand that other rooms benefit from recent refurbishment.
Michael is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much trouble and his suggestions for local trips, restaurants and activities are excellent. The house is located outside Galway city but a short bus ride takes you to the heart of the city.. A 15 minute walk takes you to Salt hills, so the location is excellent, peaceful but connected. Michael provides all the ingredients for a good serve yourself breakfast. Our room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. An extremely good property at this price.

United StatesHonestly the only issue we had was finding the place. Signage could be better, but I don't know code restrictions where he's located. We eventually found it.
Michael was amazing. The place was great. Clean, quiet and his knowledge of local restuarants and bars was greatly appreciated. He was quick to help with our heavy bags and always available to help. Even drove us to a local place for dinner.
