Host was contactable and provided us with clean bedding on request.

The property was not cleaned on arrival. Had to ask for clean sheets as the sheets on the beds weren’t changed from previous tenants as hairs and sand in the bed when duvet was pulled back. One bed had no sheets. The toilet wasn’t flushed from previous tenants. Shower and toilet area hadn’t been cleaned either with visible dirt and hairs everywhere, the whole house/apt in general needs a proper clean. Cobwebs everywhere. Floors in general weren’t clean and visible dirt as soon as you entered. Blinds in the bedroom, one closed just about and one didn’t so as soon as it was bright the whole room was bright!

Located close to a beautiful, quiet beach. Lovely to be able to bring our two dogs with us. Sinead & David were responsive to queries. They have lovely cats, a dog and hens. Apartment is kitted out with what you need & is cosy and clean.

Very minor but maybe a sign to indicate where it is.

    Thanks for your feedback

Nice and cozy. Very well organise cottage… there is a living room, a dinning room, a well equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms…

A bit out of the way but should be fine if you drive.

    Property response:

Thank you so much for your lovely review

There is an absolutely beautiful quiet beach very close by.

The property needs a major revamp and a deepclean. We stated with 2 small children and only stayed 1 night of 2. Very uncomfortable couches and the single bed mattress. The banister upstairs is open so a child could too easily fall over to the staircase. Towels smelt musty, no bag in bin in the bathroom, no toilet roll holder, an old burnt chip in the microwave, the fridge was not clean inside, some of the plates had old food stuck on it. A window upstairs is broken so you can't open it and it's stuffed with old rags. Huge cobwebs inside the double doors. Outside is worse, the cathouse is covered in cat feaces and the smell is outrageous. It is right next to the out door seating area which had an old screwdriver and sharp knife lying at it. The outside play equipment is covered in bird feaces so not usable, I couldn't let my children outside. It's not good enough is an understatement and I can't understand why it's so expensive to stay in. We left after one night and the hosts refunded (pending) us for the 1 night we did not stay. I hate to give this review but it's just so bad.

The property is in a rural location, peaceful and quiet, which is exactly what I wanted. Local pubs, restaurants, shops and beaches are all reasonably nearby (10 minute drive at most). The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen/living room, and an upstairs bedroom with ensuite loo and shower. The TV had a Freesat box attached, which gave access to all the main UK channels as well as others. I was also able to connect and use my Fire TV stick, as the free wifi was excellent. The hosts, David and Sinéad, were very welcoming and extremely helpful. This was my first stay at this property, but it won't be my last.

I can say, in all honesty, there was nothing I didn't like.

I chose this booking based on pets being allowed. It was lovely. There's a tidy kitchen, good living area downstairs, beds are comfortable and the heat was turned on with the rainy weather. Easy access to the beach for a short walk, about a 10 minute drive from Miltown Malbay village for coffee/pubs/groceries and a 40 minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher. The hosts are welcoming, kind, helpful and available, even met me in town when I got turned around. They also had great input when to visit the Cliffs.

I didn't realize that pets aren't allowed upstairs, that was a bit surprising but not completely unmanageable.
