The building is old, so there is a bit of noise from rooms above. Nothing unmanageable.

A good place to stay in Wicklow for a short stop over. Our room was large and the beds were very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant twice, evening meal and breakfast. Both meals were good and the staff were friendly. The view from the conservatory/restaurant is lovely. Large car park nearby.

For the hefty bed and breakfast rate we hoped for some hearty fare at breakfast time. Unfortunately, on our final day, we had to leave before breakfast service began at 8.30am (relatively late start). The “packed breakfast “ offered was rather disappointing. Doorstep cheese and ham sandwiches and cheese and onion crisps do not a breakfast make. We made do with a cereal bar, one apple and some water. This could be improved.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great dinner menu and spacious accommodation. Our deluxe room was clean, comfy and felt like a home from home. We loved our stay at this quaint and historic tavern in the heart of Wicklow.

The room was modern and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. It was great to have a kettle in the room for cups of tea after long walks! The cooked breakfast was delicious and they had several options for non-meat eaters. A lovely stay!

Maybe we are just being picky it was the mattress that was too hard for our liking but we slept on it anyway . More clothes hangers in the wardrobe there was only two when we arrived. Room 27 .

The hotel was recently decorators and you can see that it looked lovely the rooms are big , bathrooms are very nice, even meal we had was lovely and the breakfast was lovely too and the food came out hot which I like. The staff were excellent they knew that job very polite and helpful. The evening entertainment the two nights we were there was very good. We asked for an iron and board and we got it promptly.

Room was newly renovated. The entry door stuck and was difficult to open and close. The accommodation was about 250 metres from the Tavern and the breakfast area. Entry was at the top of one flight of a steep narrow staircase.

Room was very spacious with three double beds. Room was well appointed. The staff were very helpful and the meals were generous.

I am an oldie I guess and I wasn’t well but our room although delightful was directly above the bar and it felt like the musician was right in my room. It was so loud. I was unable to get any rest until he finished and the staff had cleaned up the bar. The noise carries right upstairs. So if sleep is your thing, ask for a room in another part of the hotel. I would definitely come back to this hotel just ask to not be right above the bar is all. It really is a great hotel.

The location was fabulous. The food was terrific as were all the staff.

Parking was a bit undefined and ambiguous. There seemed to be lots of places where parking was limited to 8 hours. In fact there is plenty of parking, perhaps the hotel could be more proactive in identifying it?

Super location, friendly staff, good breakfast
