Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe curiosity that is the up and down, around and around getting to your room with heavy suitcase that we've seen in a few older Irish inns/hotels.
The people were the best part; friendly and eager to help.Decent bar and great breakfast buffet!

IrelandThe rooms are clean but dark probably need some updating we had a leak in our room so there was a damp smell but the staff gave a complementary drinks voucher to apologize. I feel the food and drink was overpriced for what it is in to comparison to other places in Ireland.
Perfect location for the town and it was perfect for a family gathering. The breakfast included was fantastic. Really close to a lovely castle to visit.

FranceLovely staff, seemed a bit expensive compated with others. We cd hear the people next door hanging up their clothes and talking very clearly, but old properties are impossible to soundproof, so that is not a complaint

United KingdomWe had to ask for the heating to be put on - it was on a timer, and the manager had forgotten to over-ride it, on what was a pretty cold day. This was dealt with very quickly, though.
Great bar area, good selection of meals and snacks, excellent breakfast, staff that we dealt with were all lovely. Room spacious and had all we needed for an overnight stay (on a band tour).

IrelandNo complaints.
My second stay at the hotel and again really enjoyed it. There was a great atmosphere as a few functions were taking place. The bar was lively with a live act also. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, the young waitress lady was vey mannerly. Great location with parking across the road in a public car park for €3 on exit. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and freshly painted.

United KingdomThe bathroom really needs an upgrade, shower curtains are unpleasant and the towels were small and thin. Water ended up all over the bathroom floor and you could see where it was rotting the edge of the bath and walls because of it.
It was a friendly relaxed atmosphere in the bar, the food was great and you could chop and change from the breakfast menu to suit yourself. The rooms were large and the bed was comfy enough for a good sleep

United StatesShower curtain kept blowing into the shower and was fabric only. To be more comfortable a mini fridge, microwave or Keurig/ espresso machine in room might be nice. The key was on a strangely large key chain.

IrelandI had an early start in the following morning and the music was fairly loud until 12.30 - 1am. Early breakfast not facilitated at reception however sorted by kitchen staff in the morning. Something hotels in general need to sort out. On street available but only for a maximum of an hour. There is a public car park across the road but looked full and 3 euro on exit but only took coins. Ended up using street parking and paying on the app but technically I think I was meant to move the car after an hour
All in all the hotel was good value for Money, food in the bar was lovely and staff very friendly. Was running Waterford Marathon and needed 6.30 -7 breakfast and a good one. Morning staff were really helpful and looked after me with porridge.
