This is the perfect place to stay for Skiellig Michael. Sweet little room, quiet at night, and in the center of Portmagee!

location is excellent.

I would have liked to have had the option of Breakfast. There was no visibility of staff on arrival or departure.

The soundproofing for the room. Could hear people turning on sink in the other apartment and dishwasher sound coming from downstairs

Very centrally located, just as described. It had a smart TV and tea/coffee making facilities in the room and obtaining the keys during self service check in was a breeze. Perfect for my short stay since my Skellig Michael tour was starting early the following morning.

The properties interiors are a bit dated but very clean and cosy nonetheless.

the house was in the center but it was quiet on sunday. the room was small but there was tee and el.kettle, bed was ok. wc was opposite to my room, across the corridor. visitor center is across the bridge /5-10min walk/.

The location was great for us.

Decor was what I’d call “old skool”

Check-in is via a coded box. Very convenient. Free parking nearby

A small room, difficult to fit a suitcase in. An equally small bathroom. Cramped.

Old fashione but everything what we need was there

Definitely not pets friendly, my dog was accuse for peeing in room, picture with some water on the floor was send to me (definitely not after my dog, my dog is big great dane and if she peeing in room, room will be fluted) and they feel poo smell (what can be true, I leave her poo in bin in poo bag in room but only because outside I can't find any bin if owner leaves some small bin outside it can't happened)

Check-in is completely contactless. Never saw the host through the whole stay. The host provided detailed instruction in advance so it was not a problem at all. Street parking is limited but there is a big public parking lot that allows overnight parking across the street.

Wifi worked correctly. Closed to the ferry

Quite uncomfortable overall. The bathroom was claustrophobic and had hair on the floor. You could hear noises from other rooms. Too expensive for what it offered.

Good location

Mould in the bathroom, wrote to the owner no reply. Booking.com refunded half the cost of the stay. Previous reviews mention the same, there’s been some ‘landlord style’ decorating going on recently, but source of mould not treated. So grout and ceiling new mould ontop of new paint.

The bed was spacious clean and comfortable. And staff provided a bottle of water on our request.

It was disappointing we couldn't access any kitchen facilities for drinking water or storage. Also the garden had no key access so there was nowhere to go whilst sharing a room.. There were potentially dangerous obstacles or storage boxes in the hallway. The shower, although good pressure changed to extremely hot on occasions. The felux window in the bathroom should be slightly ajar, no ventilation
